October 29, 201114 yr Alpha,I'm afraid I don't believe the rumours. If I show missing library objects and textures I get hundreds of reports. I cannot remember when I last had a CTD.I do believe it has a hit on FPS since FSX will spend some time scanning to find the missing files.George
October 29, 201114 yr Commercial Member OK, 2 of the three GUIDs generated "invalid GUID" errors in ModelConverterX but I think I pieced the puzzle together from the different postings throughout the thread. I made crates for the following guids, if you still get errors it's probably because one or more of them isn't correct. If so, write it down again and I'll give it another shot. Just put this .bgl in the same folder the other one is in, it'll use the texture that's already there from the other dummy library.33af1319-213d-4a6c-b752-dede6fe348c8746b3233-6220-6c69-1020-2e1b201414472d65b7fc-4ece-830a-7084-54aedb7bb4e1 alpha117_dummy_obj_lib.zipI know on my own setup I could rarely finish a flight in the heart of the PNW without a g3d.dll error and CTD. After I made up these dummy objects I can fly all over the place without crashes. Whether it affects frame rates I rather doubt, if the sim manages to get past failing to load the missing objects without crashing everything seems to work normally. Even with MissingLibraryAlert=1 you'll get the crashes, that in itself doesn't affect anything I don't believe. I've noticed on different sim sessions that sometimes I'd get a crash at the same exact spot that the GUID errors started popping up in a previous session. That, and the fact that eliminating the missing GUIDs stopped the crashes, tells me that the missing GUID related CTD is not a rumor.I've run with MissingTextureAlert=1 as well. I've added dummys for those too, but for me anyway, they never caused a crash. Unlike MissingLibraryAlert which seems to only inform you once of the missing GUIDs, MissingTextureAlert tells you about it every time the missing texture comes into view. It'll drive you nuts :smile:Jim

October 29, 201114 yr Commercial Member What do you have installed at PAKT? No, when you have a bunch of them like that you need to figure out what's missing. I've updated the .bgl to fix 746b3233-6220-6c69-1020-e1b201414447 and also added b4da3b24-5fc7-4f12-86a4-7c2f7dffb70b for EGKK. Just re-download from the link above and overwrite the existing .bgl. You'll need to dig deeper for PAKT. :smile:Jim
October 29, 201114 yr Author Commercial Member JimThanks for the boxes. OK will look into PAKT and let you know Clive Joy

Only a few have this issue. Uninstall and reinstall everything and please make sure you have the latest MS Visuals and dotnet software installed and turn off UAC and any anti-virus program before reinstalling.Best regards,Jim
October 29, 201114 yr Jim, thank you for that dummy library, it fixed my error messages in PNW around KSAE, unfortunately, g3d.dll crash as usual right after KSEA from KORS direct to KPDX.... will try with Vashon disabled and report back..Alain from Montreal
October 29, 201114 yr Author Commercial Member OKfound a 'wooden crate' at Annette Island(PANT). Found it whilst tracking down my PAKT issues. I have all the addon scenery loaded from here:http://return.mistymoorings.com/scenery/#a. The crate is in place of what I think should be a 'static aircraft', but there's a wooden crate instead.I will let them know over at Misty Moorings. Clive Joy
October 29, 201114 yr Commercial Member You're welcome Alain, and out of curiosity do you have the latest Orbx libraries installed? The libraries were recently updated in an attempt to eliminate these missing GUIDs, a few missing libraries were added and some objects were replaced with dummy objects, which may possibly eliminate your KORS > KPDX crash. If it's been a while since you installed Orbx libraries, I'd suggest downloading and installing the latest version (111014). You can check in FTX Central with "Tools > Reports > FTX Products Installed", and you should see "FTX AA ORBX LIBRARIES VER 111014 October 14th 2011" somewhere in the list.BTW guys I was thinking earlier, I'll bet these 13 missing GUIDs associated with Vashon and maybe those at PAKT are calling for objects from the old OZx libraries. Vashon was probably early enough in the game for Orbx that they were still using OZx objects and Misty Moorings may have used them too. It'd be easy to check by downloading and installing OZx libraries to see if the errors go away, but from what I can see they're only available with the full OZx NA package and that weighs in at 2 GB, or about half of my monthly bandwidth allotment. :( I'll grab it and check though next time I get around a DSL connection. If you guys have fast unlimited internet connections though, you may try disabling my dummy libraries and installing the OZx libraries instead. I'd be interested to know the results. Thanks,Jim
October 29, 201114 yr Author Commercial Member Jimdo you mean these oneshttp://aussiex.org/forum/index.php?/files/go/a956178138894c86b7d1e9b5ef9108e4/ozx-au-complete-ozx-na-complete-ozx-libraries Clive Joy
October 29, 201114 yr Commercial Member I'm getting a "page not found" error with your link above, maybe it's because I'm not logged in but I think they consolidated the libraries into the OZx NA package now, it looks like in addition to the libraries you also get a bunch of other stuff too:http://aussiex.org/forum/index.php?/files/file/1825-ozx-au-complete-ozx-na-complete-ozx-libraries/Jim
