November 4, 201114 yr I have just installed Vox ATC and I see that it works for 7 days only as trial period.Vox ATC finds a lot of planes within his settings section but it doesn't find 737 NGX that I want Vox atc to work it on.How can I do to let Vox ATC recognize PMDG 737 NGX ?Thx
November 4, 201114 yr Hi Mark,Haven't tried this myself but this is how the Lvld is set up.To the PMDG 737-800NGX (Note this one only as the other NG panels are mapped to this one) add the following to the panel.cfgAfter Window20=Logic add////<VoxATCWindow21=VoxATCWindow22=VoxATC Recent Comms////>VoxATCAt the bottom add////<VoxATC[Window21]visible=1position=4size_mm=400,200pixel_size = 400, 200background_color=0,0,0ident=14077zorder=5alpha_blend=0.65gauge00=VAGauge!VoxATCPrompt,0,0////>VoxATC////<VoxATC[Window22]visible=0position=5size_mm=400,600pixel_size = 400, 600background_color=255,255,255ident=14078zorder=5gauge00=VAInfo!VoxATCInfo,0,0,400,600////>VoxATCRog Rog Hanson
November 4, 201114 yr The panel config for the NGX is write protected. Go into FSX to the panel file of the NGX and right click on the panel.cfg. Uncheck the read only box and click apply. Run the indexer again and you should be all set.
November 5, 201114 yr @ mwilk : since SP1 or before the NGX panel.cfg file is no more in read only mode, none the less VOX atc can't find 737 NGX. ( double checked that ) @ meadfoot : do you mean like this ?//// Logic//[Window20]BACKGROUND_COLOR=100,100,100size_mm=1, 1position=2visible=0nomenu=1ident=444zorder=90gauge00=PMDG_737NGX_3!Logic, 0, 0, 1, 1////<VoxATCWindow21=VoxATCWindow22=VoxATC Recent Comms////>VoxATCand then the second part has to be inserted here ?Thx in advanceEDIT I tried like that ( also adding the whole second part below ) , I can call the panel from the default FSX 737 but not into 737 NGX so I guess I did something wrong somewhere
November 8, 201114 yr don't forget that every-time you run an NGX patch or an SP the panel.cfg file gets re-written, hence it loses the VoxATCsettings within it.you need to run the Indexer again and reapply the VoxATC settings to the plane (NGX). Joel Strikovsky
November 23, 201114 yr how can I get this panel in the VC view? It's always there in the 2D panel, but in the VC I have to select it from the menu every time. Eric [FSX on Windows7 64-bit]
November 23, 201114 yr just hit the menu while in VC mode , menu - > view -> instrument -> VoxATC.I also advice you to set in your VoxATC "Joystick Setup" and bind those VoxATC popup window(s) to a Joystick button or a Keyboard key or both.that way by pressing the assigned key/button it would bring up the VoxATC window (it would work after you enable the VoxATC in FSX once on the tarmac). January 12, 201214 yr I think you will find that VoxATC will only work in the PMDG Boeing under certain conditions. The panel config entry is correct as above.1. VOXATC does NOT recognise the *.rte flightplans of PMDG and will only properly function from the FSX flightplan instructions.2. VOXATC uses the FS9 GPS and so that is also required and needs to be added to the PMDG Boeing gauges.3. You therefore require both the FS9 AND the PMDG FMC flightplans to be set up with both operating during flight.VOXATC is an excellent program and the upgrade to version 6 covers all SID's and STAR's. I have found it functions well in FSX and PMDG aircraft; just ensure both flightplans are identical.Have fun.

January 13, 201214 yr No. 2 Is totaly false. I speak (post) from experience.True, Number 2 has no relation to how VoxATC operates.Number 3 is also not needed, I don't have FS9 installed at all nor any FS9 plans either.all you need for Vox to operate is the FSX *.pln file.for PMDG, you would need the RTE file, but that is only to get your PMDG flying the correct route, it has nothing to do with VoxATC either. March 21, 201214 yr On Ant4's comment, all I can say is 6.05 works 100% with my NGX (I never 'serious' fly without VOX, as a RLP it just doesnt feel right not talking to Air Traffic). I make sure I have the flight plans in pln & rte format in the right places and the correct flight loaded with the flight plan I want to fly and works a dream, never had any issues.Rich
