November 12, 201114 yr Author Well guess what, bingo 266 course heading for Philly International on 27r puts you right on the centerline. Originally when atc gave me the runway Ilooked at the fsx map showed the ils and course setting as of 265. When I was a couple of miles out I manually changed it to 266 since at 265 was going to the right of the runway. Thus the question remains still in the CDU do you keep the fsx loc course reading enabled or disabled, for me at this time since I manually changed it was disabled not on.This is some kind of a bug with ngx hopefully with andother patch something could be done about this, and I can see its real tedious work.main problem seems to be that a lot of things have changed at the airports since 2005. Concluding like to thank everyone here who contributed to this messy problem, and its still probably not over cause I saw there was a conversation about it on the avism forum a few months ago. I just like to keep things simple and straight.
November 14, 201114 yr ALright, you got it. I'll just share with you what i usually do (not that I use the NGX very often),Normally I leave the SET FSX COURSE as on, because it works for most airports just fine. When you capture the localiser, have a look at the 'needle'. It should go rapidly to the centre and stop there firmly without hesitation, even in mild turbulence or crosswinds. This is what should be expected. The moment you see the dot stuck to the left or right of the centre, (bad airport) its time to pull out the FMC and disable the SET FSX CRS. Tweak the course settings until centered, if the dot is on the left, decrease, on the right, increase. Set the copilot course to match as well.Continue with your other landing procedures. After landing, can choose to enable the SET FSX CRS again. This isnt very realistic because it's not even a real world procedure, but it's a quick workabout and works with zero visibility outside. If done fast should not take more than 30 seconds. This technique (checking the dot) works for airports that have a perfectly aligned ILS but due to the outdated mag var, the dot is not centred. This must be differentiated from airports whose ILS are physically offset, (either deliberately or due to poor data), ie the ILS in the FSX map is visibly misaligned. In this case, the dot can be perfectly centred but your plane is not going to land centreline anyway.Regards.Marcus Jian

November 15, 201114 yr Author bamboofats that sounds like agood idea will try it keep enabled and just follow your instructions not exactly real wold but if it workds fine, Iknow 22R at JFK is wrong so instead Ialways ask for 22l and its perfectly fine.
June 2, 201511 yr [so I went to Philly on 9l turned the course inidicator off in the cdu, and I was still off center to the right of the runway,I paused for that second and was not centered on the runway when I was over it to make sure in spot view. The course number was 085 but the funny thing it never changedPlease tell me how I can correct this probelm s there something I have to download, I have sp1 and everything else is working fine.I will also try to correct all that white spae in my posts, reallly sorry about that, but please help e out,I am not the greatest with computers, and I am also disabled, 15 operations in last 7 years just to be personable, so I am a bit slow sometimes.] Just saw this post so even though it is old, I thought I should comment. KPHL 9L ILS localizer is off point by 1/2 degree in FSX Default Scenery . Not sure why but ADE9x can fix it. Eric Parker Eric Parker
