I saw that regarding the 30GB and don't really understand what that would mean, unless it is talking about the potential space needed to take full advantage of whatever MS flight might have to offer, whatever that might be. Such secrecy for a game, I just don't get what microsoft is doing and why they are doing it. This whole public relations approach is just strange.

The 30gig system requirement to me would be in line with a worldwide coverage scenario along with a good amount of well developed aircraft. Hmmm, I wonder if Microsoft will announce anything in the future about what this might mean.

It gets curious and curiouser. Wheels within wheels.

I doubt it. Prepare to be teased rotten until the day of release.

I don't understand what that means. You must work for microsoft Flight's public relations department. haha

I sure do hope that Microsoft does a better job with their public relations from this point on. It was really difficult having to patch together clues to come to any conclusions. Even now at this point in the game (pun intended), there is so much left unsaid.

Yes, Liz, I agree.I think that it would calm down a lot of contributors to this forum if MS would announce that there will be at least one mainland airport and one jetliner available for purchase in their shop on the day the free trial is released.

Good point about release day, Trevor. :)I wonder if the Flight team will have any surprises for us all. I just don't think it would be a jet or anything on any mainland. Could be another GA plane or maybe the other islands opening up. Thoughts?

Hi LizI honestly think that there will be surprises. The Beta testers have hinted as much. I think that it is just a shame that MS is playing their cards so close to their chest. I suspect that if they were more open and honest they could win over a lof of dissenters on this forum and have a great success with MS FLIGHT. Instead, they have chosen to play a 'cat and mouse' game.that is frustrating a lot of people loyal to their FS products and risk large scale diffection to the opposition. Not too late to put it right.

I agree with this assessment. I believe that ms has really turned a lot of people off, but if they actually have something worthwhile for this community and they treat the community with a higher level of consumer respect, people may actually get involved with Flight, whatever that might be. I, for one, am less likely to support ms with their game because I, as a consumer, feel strung along for such a long time with the hope that a sim platform would be created. Instead, they changed things up and introduced something that was not aligned to the messaging that they were providing the community.

You are right about people getting frustrated. Lot's of people on here have been with the series for so many years. As for me, I just started a couple of years ago, but it is a fun thing to do.

And to add, Microsoft has been even more hush hush about Flight, even in its current state, then about the next generation of Xbox. Below is a link that discusses some credible rumors about Xbox Next. Wish they could be less secretive about Flight. For goodness sakes. http://www.tomsguide.com/us/Oban-Xbox-IBM-GlobalFoundries-SoC,news-13984.html
Interesting to see that developers will start work on the new Xbox platform this spring. I guess it will still be a couple or three years before anything is made available. The one thing that threw me is the graphics power is only going to have the capability of an ATI 6670. That does not seem too impressive.
