November 18, 201114 yr From what I gather only some livery downloads have the correct airline specific options set, for which Virgin Australia is not one.I'd like to know if the Virgin Australia have a Fail Operational or Fail Passive AFDS? Even better, if anyone has the full list of options for VA.ThanksMark Austen
November 18, 201114 yr I Think its only applicable to thier 777, ill ask my buddy who flies for themVH-VOU 737http://www.flickr.co...in/photostream/ Steve FOffshore Helicopter Pilot ME-IFR AW139 / Sikorsky S92 SpecsWin 106th Gen Intel Core 6700 liquid cooledIntel 100 chipset4 processor 8 way multi16GB DDR4512 GB Intel pro SSD2TB 7200 rpmSata 3 HDNvidia GTX 1060
November 18, 201114 yr Commercial Member Hardly anyone has the fail-operational option in real life, it's an expensive option and only airlines who are regularly flying into airports requiring Cat-IIIB autolands are gonna have it. November 18, 201114 yr According to photos available online, Virgin Australia/Virgin Blue 737-700s have fail passive Collins AFCS. Fuel quantity total is not shown (so round dials) and the standby ADI is analogue. The 737-800s are the same, although some have the Honeywell MCP (it depends on which company the aircraft is leased from). No sign of any HGS. The 800s don't have eyebrow windows and I didn't see any recent photos of 700s with them either.Kevin Hall
November 18, 201114 yr Here is some options for PAC Blue, ZK-PBK. As observed from photos of the real aircraft This is for the Livery by Crankpin available @ avsimNot 100% accurate, but darn close. November 19, 201114 yr All Virgin Blue Group aircraft that originally had eye-brow windows have now had them blocked out. I don't have a cockpit picture of ZK-PBK, but I would highly doubt that it would have side-by-side engine displays as this would be different from the rest of the Virgin Blue Group fleet of B737NGs.No Virgin Blue Group aircraft have HGS.Aircraft with VH-VO* (except A..D), VH-VU*, VH-Y**, VH-VBU..Z registrations are fitted with Collins MCPs. All other Virgin Blue/Australia aircraft are fitted with Honeywell.VH-Y** aircraft are fail-op.As you can see, the equipment on aircraft varies throughout the fleet. I don't have a full list of options, nor am I at liberty to disclose much more information than this.Ryan M, I have a few contacts who may or may not be willing to provide you with more information. PM me if you're interested... David Zhong New video every Thursday: Aircraft Lighting - Boeing 777
November 26, 201114 yr I would love to have the accurate options for the airline if flown most on in real life. Interesting that he new birds have fail-opp Autoland. dont know why they thought they needed that, especially with it been an expensive option according to Ryan.
April 2, 201214 yr Bringing this topic back to life... does anyone have an accurate Virgin Australia/Virgin Blue and a Qantas config file? Also where is the setting for failop? ThanksDavid
April 2, 201214 yr That config doesn't look right at all. First off there are no TCAS range rings that I know of. Also, airstairs? I don't believe they have them. Transition alt isn't 18000 and as has been stated there are no eyebrow windows
April 2, 201214 yr Default transition altitude should be 10000FT (Australia). However, the TA for most airports should be in the navigation database, but this is not supported in the current PMDG navigation database format. David Zhong New video every Thursday: Aircraft Lighting - Boeing 777
April 2, 201214 yr Commercial Member Bringing this topic back to life... does anyone have an accurate Virgin Australia/Virgin Blue and a Qantas config file? Also where is the setting for failop? ThanksDavidNo one has sent me any ini files for Virgin or Qantas that are verified to be correct. We require it to come directly from someone at the airline, we won't post stuff that's just taken from photos or whatever. (I tried to do this in the first place for all the liveries that don't have the * next to them) Ryan MaziarzFor fastest support, please submit a ticket at http://support.precisionmanuals.com
