November 26, 201114 yr Commercial Member Hey fellas, does anyone know what route planner can be imported into the NGX? I don't mean having a generated plan and then having to type it directly into the CDU. I am after something similar to Gplan, where you have a map, can plot a course visually, adding waypoints where you want them, saving the plan, which in turn shows up on the aircraft. At the moment I'm unsure this can be done in the NGX. Does anyone know differently, cheers... FSCommander does what you're after, although it is payware. There is an option to save your route to the PMDG .rte format and then you import it by typing the saved name, sand the .rte extension into "company route" on the CDU. So if you named the saved flight EGLLEHAM.rte, you'd enter EGLLEHAM into the CDU. Hope that helps. November 26, 201114 yr Personally I use flightaware for us flightplan. Since its real world flightplans only its awesome for online flight. rFinder is not very good in my opinion, since it generates flightplans on the fly, often outputting illegal flightplans. For EU flightplans I use my VA's schedule, when I fly for my non EU VA I look up a flightplan on simroutes or vataware, both should output legal routes. Johan Pettersen

I have compared their routes with real ones and they are almost the same. Enlighten meThere is also this website that is supposed to be a database for real world flight plans , but you have to be a member for more than 30 days to request one. http://www.edi-gla.co.uk/fpl/index.phpSafe flying
