November 27, 201114 yr I found a tutorial, cna't find the link, that showed me how to set all the VC views..NOw I can move(not zoom) fwd/bwd/up/down/side-side, like having a built in ezdock (enable cinema verite). Really just mapped the buttons to my controlller, nothing complicated, just never played with the gui.Does moving your seat position work with TrackIR though, I couldn't get it to move properly, the view moves a tiny bit then moves back again. Cheers, Andy.

If you want to move forward, move your view forward, closer to the glareshield before hitting F12. Do the same if you want to move your view up, by exaggerating it before you hit F12. This way, you get the view you are looking for.

Or am I completely misunderstanding you. By the way I have the trackir centre/reset and pause bound to joystick buttons its much more convenient. Cheers, Andy.

If you want to center your view forward, move away from your trackIR position, if you want to move your position up, go down before hitting F12, or whatever button you have programmed. Of course this does not permanently move XPX's seat position, only TrackIR's position in relation to it's center.
November 27, 201114 yr Yeah I knew what you meant, I do that anyway but its far from ideal, I was hoping I'd missed something in XP that allowed the movement keys to work with TrackIR enabled. Cheers, Andy.
November 27, 201114 yr Author I think in order to look left and right and not just pan (slide) left and right you need to be in shift+0 or shift+0 (VC view) | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |
April 19, 201214 yr I'm having probs with my planes turning left too but the reason is that the rudder is canted all the way over to the left for some reason. I have a Saitek pro flight yoke with pedals and about the best I can do to center it is to give a full right rudder depress. Left turns are no problem as all I've got to do is let the rudder pedals rest in the center position and the rudder gives a full left indication while on the runway and in flight. Also, the "Use this position as Center" button on the calibration page doesn't seem to depress at all. Most buttons at least give another screen but this one seems totally static. Could that be part of the problem? Another issue is the steering tiller: I've got one of the sliders on my throttle quadrant set for steering but I can't get it to center and the movements are too quick. Is there any button or keyboard input I can assign to this function? Is there another way to steer while on the ground? Ailerons and of course, rudder, dont seem to help steer. One more thing: What's the best way to get the thrust reversers to work? The sliders on my throttle quadrant have a setting down near the bottom of the scale that works for reverse thrust in FSX, but it doesn't work in the X-plane application. ANy help, or suggestion would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
