Officially retired

Seems to have finally fixed the small problems with prop effects in the f33a and it sure is running great on my machine. Also looks like a lot of textures were upgraded/added?

The notes don't mention anything, but I can now turn on HDR without any apparent loss of performance. They also seem to have fixed the bug that caused my entire screen to white out whenever I enabled "atmospheric scattering", and it might just be me but the weird shimmer effect caused by FXAA seems to have been reduced. More testing is required, of course, but early results look promising.Edit: The white out bug still isn't fixed. Apparently there's something specific that triggers it (I think changing time of day, but I'm not sure). And while performance does seem improved, it's still highly variable, and I notice my FPS swinging through extremes with it enabled than with it not.So I'm still going to leave it off.

I loaded the beta up an hour ago and my HDR with FXAA has improved my FPS leaving all other settings the same. I did notice a few things while flying low over the freeways around downtown. Flying the Bell 206 I did see what I would describe as back shading triangles drawing in as lighting elements passed just out of my lower frame of view. Seems like it is doing the timing wrong. With a clear night I avg about 22fps now with HDR on. Getting better....

As I stated on a previous topic , on my system the troubles wit the Bonaza and Mooney propellors started wit beta 4.I`ll just wait for the next upgrade. ( I made a temp. fix)

What was the temporary fix? Just in case the prop anomalies come back for us. Before beta 4, the prop anomaly would occur in my copy of ver 10, if I moved from one place to another using the select global airport method. I had this in all of my Carenado models, and only Carenado models, but no default aircraft as of yet. Beta 4 fixed that, but it didn't fix the wheel well doors not closing with landing gear retracted. Which happens with the Bonanza, on the the Mooney only the front nosewheel doors won't close, but the wing wheels do. I don't have anyother payware with a retractable gear, to see if it happens with all payware, probably not, the default are OK. so will wait for Carenado to fix that problem, which they probably will eventually.

Leen I don't see any link, am really interested in your fix, as it may have some bearing on my wheel door problem. If I am the only one having this problem with the wheel doors, and I have it on all the Carenado products, then it must be something specific to my machine.

I haven't seen the door problem at all and my prop seems perfect since 4.

Thanks Leen, for the reply. My hatch problem must be specific to my machine. If thats the worst I have, I'll be lucky, I can live with that. :-)
