December 16, 201114 yr hello-I hope this isn't a question that reveals my "new fish" XPX status, but I'm having a tough time learning the keyboard commands. The easy things as looking left and right (W,E), but auto pilot commands and lowering/raising pilot seat has got me stumped. This there a keyboard layout available? I read the XPX manual and it says hundreds of keyboard commands are available, but I simply cannot find anything past the basics.Thank you
December 16, 201114 yr To get the keyboard commands, here is the key sequence. Set your cursor to the top of the window, this will bring down the menu. Then settingsjoystick assignmentskeys. You can then study these, copy them or whatever. The commands are a bit different in 10 than they were in 9,, so I don't know if any one has done a cheat sheet yet. Do a search at http://www.x-plane.org/ Donald E. Donovan Flying is the 2nd greatest thrill known to man The 1st is landing.
December 16, 201114 yr Here is a really good tutorial Sticky. It's X-Plane 9, but controls are the same. Works great.
December 17, 201114 yr Author thanks guys-i'm a little surprised that so few keyboard commands are assigned by default. however, the range of commands that the user may add and customize is great.
January 19, 201412 yr Howdy, I've searched but can't find out if there's a way to reset all the buttons on the keyboard to their default assignments....?
January 21, 201412 yr Hmmm, I know you can do it by deleting one of the conf files, but I am yet to find which under Linux :-/ Flying gliders since 1980 Flightsimming since 1992 AMD Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB, 1 TB and 500 GB nvme2 SSD drives, HP 27" 60Hz LED monitor @ 1920x1080, T16000, Hotas from old X52 Pro, Saitek Combat Rudder Pro (2010 model)
January 21, 201412 yr It is X-Plane/Output/Preferences/Keys.prf which has to be deleted prior to starting X-Plane. A new file with the default assignments will be created. Same applies for (almost?) all of the other files in the Preferences folder. My sceneries (excerpt): LPMA Madeira (XPFR), LGSR Santorini, LRBV Brasov, the city of Fürth (Germany), several libraries, ...
