December 17, 201114 yr Hello,i am new in using Linda. I bought the MCP Combo(1) round about one year ago and used only the SerialFP2 Software. Now i am very very happy to hear from Linda....sounds sooo cool for me because my iFly 737 for FSX wont work with the SerialFP2 software ( most of the EFIS knobs and so on )Ok, so i have downloaded the Linda version 1.10 and copied the files into the FSX Modules folder.FSUIPC 4.751a are installed, ComPort of MCP Combo is set and Linda says all is ok on the Summary Screen, also the Setup MCP Combo Screen says all is OK.Now in the FSX i have loaded the iFly aircraft and the Dispays of SPD, HDG and ALT are syncron in MCP Combo. Also i can use the Knobs for CRS, SPD, HDG and ALT in the MCP Combo to change the settings in FSX. That works. But all other knobs are not working. No one knob on the EFIS site of the MCP wont work and also no other. As an Aircraft is the iFLY 737 selected and FSX synced by Linda. On the MCP Combo Screen are all the Buttons and switches assigned, but no one will work.( i will add some pictures ) here : http://www.starflight-virtual.de/Linda/pic.zipWhat do i wrong here ???Pleas help me ... thanks a very lotMatthias i9-9900KF CPU @ 3.60GHz, 32GB Ram,RTX 3090TI,MSFS
December 17, 201114 yr You should try the new VriSim software from VRi, way better than SerialFP was.
December 17, 201114 yr Author Hello, thanks for answer, but i have read in the Manual of Linda i dont have to start or need any other Software then Linda ?I have tried to start the VriSim ( i have it ) before the FSX and Linda. Now the MCP works with the iFly, but i cant start Linda.Pls explayn what i have to start and in witch order i have to start what... thanks a lotMatthias i9-9900KF CPU @ 3.60GHz, 32GB Ram,RTX 3090TI,MSFS
December 17, 201114 yr You don't need LINDA if you are using the just the MCP Combo with the latest install of VRiSim, the MCP is already fully working with the iFly 737. You can only use one program at a time to control the MCP Combo, either VRiSim or LINDA, you cant use them both at the same time. If you wish to continue using LINDA with your other Joystick/HID devices (at the same time as using VRiSim for the MCP) then you must disable the MCP functionality within LINDA, this may also include removing the file LINDA.lua from the FSX/Modules folder. Cheers, Andy.
December 17, 201114 yr Author Hello, hmm, so that means i have understud the LINDA Manual right. I have only installed the LINDA, set up the COM Port in Linda, then start FSX, select the iFLY and then start Linda. But that will not work for me as i explaned above in the first posting. What did i wrong?Matthias i9-9900KF CPU @ 3.60GHz, 32GB Ram,RTX 3090TI,MSFS
December 17, 201114 yr I repeat, forget about LINDA completely and use VRiSim with the iFly 737. VriSim works better than Linda can with the iFly 737 because VRi used the iFly SDK to program for it. Cheers, Andy.
December 17, 201114 yr Author ah...okThanks again, i works now.Did you know anything about the SDK for the new PMDG 737 NGX ?Matthias i9-9900KF CPU @ 3.60GHz, 32GB Ram,RTX 3090TI,MSFS
December 17, 201114 yr ah...okDid you know anything about the SDK for the new PMDG 737 NGX ?Yes, it has not been released yet and it is looking more and more unlikely to be released as each day passes in my opinion!! You can still use LINDA for the PMDG NGX though. Cheers, Andy.
December 22, 201114 yr Author Hello, yes i am ith you ... Linda is the best software for my MCP and FSX i ever seen !!!Its absolutely cool !!The only one i have not understand until now is what i have to do to activate the +B and ++B or -B --B modes of the MINS, CTR BARO or TFC Knobs. Not how to assign a function, i mean how to activate this function or mode of the Buttons?Matthias i9-9900KF CPU @ 3.60GHz, 32GB Ram,RTX 3090TI,MSFS
December 31, 201114 yr Hi,My guess is that the problem you have with LINDA and iFly, is that you have the wrong version of the iFly LINDA module. If you use the unpatched iFLy737 then use LINDA module v1.02 If you use iFly737 with SP1, then use LINDA module v1.10 if you use iFly737 with SP1.02 then use LINDA module v1.20 Regards,Helge Helge Rasmussen
