Nav Data out of Date

Featured Replies

Looking for a little guidence. Keep getting the Nav Data out of Date error message on the FMC even tho I've updated to latest AIRAC. FMC shows AIRAC-1113 Dec15Jan11/12. Can't figure out where I went wrong. Anybody else run into this or knows what I can do to correct it?Thanks in advanceBob DemarestBirmingham, Alabama

There's already another thread on this. Seems to be caused by something in the 2011/2012 transition. This is a Navigraph problem, not PMDG's. All I would like to know, is how to disable it (temporarily). Perhaps that this message will stop to show up at the 1st of January?

How is this a Navigraph problem? Its clearly related to the way the NGX deals with change of year

It is an NGX problem - the 747-400 and MD-11, which use exactly the same nav database as the NGX, do not have this issue. It's a very minor glitch in the internal programming of the NGX FMS, which I'm sure has already been corrected for the next service pack.

This is not a bug! It's a feature! The date of the database is out of date. The FMS tells you it's in need of an update.

The AIRAC databases are a sequence of 4 numbers, which coincide with the corrosponding year and month. For example: 1108 means database for august of 2011. Consequently, the database from august isn't valid anymore in september.

Yes, but the OP was talking about "FMC shows AIRAC-1113 Dec15Jan11/12." ... which is correct. For info:
