Payware General Aviation Recommendations

Based on the OP's criteria...

OV-10 Bronco (Aerosoft) Note: don't get put off by the military look or the fact that it is a twin turbo. It's a great medium a/c with outstanding visibility, FDE and it is a good fit for Orbx scenery.
+ I think it might still be on sale? It has nice engine management and a superbly textured VC. This coupled with the fact it has STOL capability from unprepared strips, excellent visibility, range and a cruise speed of well over 200 kias makes it hard to beat.
Anything from RealAir is awesome.
+1 For the Duke but IMO it's really more of an IFR cabin cruiser putting you at FL's that aren't synonymous with sight seeing; of course you can fly it however you please. They're SF260 is the first payware plane I bought for FSX and it still gets flown routinely.I also have the Skymaster and IMO it's the best Carenado has made, straight out of the box.

I think the Duke fits a bit more of what I'm looking for, but was curious if anyone could comment on the performance (not FPS, aircraft performance) of the Skymaster. What type of runway is needed for this. The Turbine Duke looks like it can get in and out of some very short fields and was wondering if the Skymaster was comparable here. If not, then that makes the decision a bit easier for me.
The SkyMaster has excellent short field capability. Sadly for the real world it is not recommended as a true bush aircraft as it apparently has FOD issues with the rear engine on grass/gravel fields; however, for flight sim purposes you can ignore this and as you are talking "small airfields" as opposed to "bush strips" the aircrafts STOL capability is perfect.I cannot comment on the RA Duke as I have not flown it. I am sure you would be pleased with either model. If you can still get it I have the IRIS DA42 TwinStar which again also offers incredible cockpit visibility and short field ability. It is a fully glass cockpit if you like that sort of thing and also has a unique look.
