I really would have a hard time in court justifying a 250kt to the marker instruction to a plane if they end up off the runway.Not when you have F16's mixed in with civilian... that's what we do in Duluth. I've not used 250 to the marker but I've used 230 with a RJ...edit: I should remark that the PIC will let us know if they cannot do it - and they do! January 10, 201214 yr I got an idea to put this thread to rest. Fly 250 kts to the outter marker with the NGX at Flaps 1. Extend the Gear at the outter marker and see if your able to slow down to your final approach speed before touching down on the runway. Edited January 10, 201214 yr by UAL115 Paul Deemer

Extend the Gear at the outter marker and see if your able to slow down to your final approach speed before touching down on the runway.All well and good, but nobody suggested the NGX could do it.
