January 10, 201214 yr Author It would be neat to add a nice variety of cars on the highways and streets.. I have seen that they do move at different realistic speeds.. Aside from generic trucks it would be neat if there were several different types.. Maybe even at low res so they dont hurt frames, different commercial paint jobs on the sides of trailers.. And perhaps emergency vehicles once in a while.. Maybe i am getting too detailed, but it sure makes final approach over a highaw look amazing..
January 10, 201214 yr And perhaps emergency vehicles once in a whileThere's a video out there of someone flying along chasing a police car (with flashing lights and all)... quite cool.-Greg
January 10, 201214 yr Author Ahh nice.. One thing i was reading about with the announcements prior to release was the weather system.. It mentions the fact that you can see waether fronts moveing. I am from Oklahoma and it is flat enough you can see a coud bank move in from miles away and it will slowly drift across.. Does XP do this as it states, or is this a future possibility??
January 10, 201214 yr just as everything else in X-Plane right now (!), the weather system is only half finished. While it loads real weather and displays non-repetative clouds and fronts around your area, the clouds do not move with the winds. In that sense, the weather system at the moment is static. Austin hinted that this improvement will only come over time when some of the other half baked stuff is done. * 2010 MacPro, 27' display * Snow Leopard * XP10 *
January 10, 201214 yr Could you recheck that please. I got the impression that the clouds were moving but in the wrong direction.
