Already been done, nothing has changed (they don't look as good as they used to), besides I have all kinds of time. He even has the nerve (don't know if that's the right word) to say there the best yet, you have to be kidding.Just making others aware, they deserve to know before slapping down their money. Wouldn't want anybody getting mislead...that's only fair.......enough said about that.Glen
HelloJust chill, its the Xplane way.Or so they say

No problem, just frustrated. Bugs reports were filed prior to this release by many I'm sure, and the quality seems to be getting worse is certain instances. It was fine before, and looked great, it should have been left alone with regards to the clouds. Just my thoughts...Glen

It all comes out in the wash. Just have to wait till the next cycle ;)I don't even have the update yet :(

Jason, I guess what bewilders me is the fact that he thinks things are better, there clearly not. He's going the wrong way on a one way street. Perhaps fps are going up slightly, but at the expense of what, visuals. That's not a good trade off as far as I'm concerned. I would rather have it look great with 0 ai, or a few less buildings, whatever, but don't take away from the atmospheric visuals, they make or brake the immersion factor. Doesn't matter if you have 100 ai planes around and buildings coming out your ying yang, if the rest looks like poo.Glen

The thing is it most likely is better on their machines else why would they say its better when for a lot of users it isn't. There are so many different setups out there I guess they have to hit a compromise that suits all video cards etc;. Just some thoughts.

RC1 looks pretty good. My performance is more or less back to what it was in Beta 7, though it could use some smoothing out.

MM You use linux. Did you have any update problems? I can't update from ver 10.03RC1 and on. I checked the log file and it seems to be getting a 404 from the Xplane servers.

Yes, I'm running Linux. No, I did not have any problems updating.

hmm thats strange! Must be something in my setup.

Ok a few days later it decided to update. I had updated a couple files in Linux so maybe that, I should have taken note. Anyway all up and running again.
