Lynnfield i5 vs. SandyBridge i5 for FSX

StephenMany thanks! I remember now - I'm never sure in what cycle the recommendations were changed.I also recall that someone recommended that you need at least 1GB Vram for it to work.Gosh, with all these numbers my head hurts! :Hypnotized:RegardsPeterH

What I got from that is a high percentage (nearly all) of the 2700k CPUs hitting 4.8+ and with consistently lower voltages than the 2500k/2600k.
The 2700K sample size is significantly smaller than the rest, but it looks like it OCs approximately 100MHz higher (maybe 150MHz) than the 2500K and 2600K for whatever voltage you're willing to push through it.

That's a seriously cool chart! Did you generate the data as well?Cheers,- jahman.

Awesome chart! I can now see where my chip falls into on the grand scheme of binned chips.

Great work Corey! Thanks for the overview.Kind regards,

I just sorted and plotted the OC results from the link that Dazz provided above. You can thank the guys at overclock.net for the data!

Unfortunately, Intel just announced they are going to delay shipping the IB CPUs until summer.

This is likely a rumor. At this point I haven't to seen any official press releases[recently] from Intel regarding Ivy Bridge release dates.
