February 17, 201214 yr You're welcome! While the EFB is excellent, the only drawback is lack of automatic rout finder functionality (like Flight Sim Commander and FSX have). But once you have your desired route (several webs to download them from), it's great.Cheers,- jahman. Edited February 17, 201214 yr by jahman
February 17, 201214 yr I would have bought it a long time ago already if it could be run with FSX NOT in windowed mode... And since I don't have a spare laptop lying around, I didn't get it. Looks great though...Can it be run on a second monitor while FSX is in full screen mode?? Dan George (woodhick)Check out Greenbrier Aero Club, the VA for and about the GA pilot.

February 17, 201214 yr The Realair SF260 does not have a GPS, so why is it sad it does not have a NAV/GPS switch?Mine had the default Garmin GPS500 just no NAV/GPS switch. The developer forgot to add the switch and the SF260 only had the VC so a novice was kinda stuck. The documentation states that you have to create a keyboard solution by assigning a keyboard key sequence for the NAV/GPS missing switch. I now know how to add the swtich but also have since given up the addon.I really enjoyed the loops and rolls but when ready to go back to the airport I kept getting lost. duh.Ray When Pigs Fly . February 17, 201214 yr That's odd! How do you switch from NAV to GPS then? Just curious...Cheers,- jahman. You have to create a keyboard key sequence to cover for the missing NAV/GPS switch or a simpler method is to assign the NAV/GPS switch function to a joy stick switch. Back then I knew almost nothing about this stuff. Nowadays I would just switch out the GPS500 with one of the free or near free upgraded GPS. Most of the GPS530's uses one of the panel buttons, the CDI button, for the GPS/VLOC switch.Ray When Pigs Fly . Ray Marshall .
February 17, 201214 yr I think in the US, a GPS receiver qualified for IFR nav under TSO-C129a can have either a CDI display, or an electrical output (which would go to the Nav/GPS switch). So there isn't a requirement to have to Nav/GPS switch with the GPS500 if I'm reading it right.scott s..

I would guess the list of addons for FSX that have the Garmin GPS500 default GPS is rather long, very long and the list of those add-ons that do not have a NAV/GPS switch is rather short, like maybe one or two. Those one or two were probably just oversights or basic screwups by the developers. Just a guess.Ray When Pigs Fly . Ray Marshall .
February 19, 201214 yr RW. What I mean is that if the switch isn't there, that might not be a "mistake" by the dev. I don't know if the control TOGGLE_GPS_DRIVES_NAV1 always works or not.scott s..
