February 26, 201214 yr If you would enjoy a rural GA airport that is freeware but payware quality, download 5B2 Saratoga Springs by Ed "Geneer" Cox, just recently uploaded. I also recommend you get his equally good KGFL Floyd Bennett field as the two are just a bit over a hundred NM from each other, so they make an ideal GA flight. Both are in upstate New York and are enjoyable in all seasons as it is a beautiful area. These are great sceneries guys - give them a tryCheersIanEd - if you happen to see this, THANK YOU for your outstanding contributions... :( Edited February 26, 201214 yr by kiwiflyer45

February 26, 201214 yr Also, there's an outfit called AirportGuys(?) That offer a beautiful rendition of Franklin County Airport, NC. This place is very typical of most GA airports around, so its worth checking out.I'm at work now, so I'll check more into the developers name later in case I got it wrong ___________________________________________________________________________________ Zachary Waddell -- Caravan Driver -- Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/zwaddell Avsim ToS Avsim Screenshot Rules
February 28, 201214 yr I hope it's not offered by the same people who came up with HOWARD'S MIX ,And if you are a admin. you might want to warn people it in the FS9 SCEN CAT once you put it in you can't remove it!!!
February 28, 201214 yr That's why you are supposed to make a backup of your files first, or at the very least create a 'temp' directory (i.e. FS9_Howard) to install it to so you can see what it is going to replace. Howard's mix is good and they tell you what will be replaced. No you can't go back if you don't back your files up. But they tell you that up front.Thanks. Paul
February 28, 201214 yr It may may be but I hd WIN7 and I have FS9&X and my pc kept crashing. NOBODY should create something that CAN'T BE REMOVED!!!
February 28, 201214 yr Author I started this thread to tell my fellow simmers about a wonderful freeware scenery they may have overlooked. The issue being discussed in the last few posts has nothing at all to do with that scenery. I respect your freedom to express yourselves guys, but could you do so on a different thread? This was supposed to be a positive 'heads up' about a wonderful freeware product.PeaceIan
February 29, 201214 yr I agree with the OP, this little airport is wonderfully done. In grabbing the download from Avsim, I found Ed's other sceneries, and grabbed them all, so far I am enjoying them immensely. That the an Mitlon and Team Grumman, what a week!Remebering Milton also did a set of Aero Commanders, and his team did a shrike i got those too. I don't know what to do with myself with all of these goodies. I look forward to al the talented people who will keep our FS9 freeware flowing, heck if they ask for a small donation I am all for that too. J R (Jason R MYNN) General Aviation Nut FSEconomy Pilot
February 29, 201214 yr Author Good point about the Tracker/Tracer. I thought about mentioning it in my original post... Brings back some very OLD memories - I got a chance to fly an S2 way back in 1968. Yes, I really am that old! LOL
March 2, 201214 yr I live in New England, and I do most of my GA flying around the area. I've found that sceneries by John Loney and others by William Shea really enhance my enjoyment. They've done a number of the smaller airports, both those with GA and the commercial ones.
