Proof! MS Flight owns what FSX has! Read CoreContent.pak!

Featured Replies

Hi, All,As corinaco said, if you unpack .pak files, you could find all the similar things and structure with what we have in FSX.So we believe that MS Flight has a lot of extentions in future. What I worried is the cost of each DLC, appreatly, current price is too high. And another worry is MS Studio can let third-party developer publish DLC, e.g. PMDG? Proof for the content.proof.jpg

Yes, I had a go and looked through that as well with 7Zip, and I found the camera.cfg somewhat similar to FSX! And quite an interesting range of stuff it contains as well!

Hello gopal0

I think you will find that this has been well known since the early days of the Beta.

gopal0 credit is missing

Hi gopal0. I send you a personal message yesterday but I see you haven't read it yet so hence I will post this here. Yesterday I deleted a few posts from you which all were about editing that corecontent.pak. Posting the same information in various topics is not done. Today you posted in a few topics that you should be given credit for this idea. You did so in topics that were started in March already and you posted your tip only yesterday.... As mad dog said this 'tip' is old already and you aren't the only one who came up with this idea. But even if you were it's not a good habit to only crosspost the same line everywhere.

Welcome to the forum, enjoy your stay here but please do not only post oneliners about 'your' idea all over the place!

Oh, that's what those bizarre PMs in my inbox were. I couldn't even decipher what he was trying to say.

I actually was wondering if it was an ineffective spam-bot.

The thing you have to realize is that those files are config / data files. The files are not the execution code. Microsoft is rewriting the execution code and that takes time and labor. They are trying to get a return on investment.

It is good if Microsoft keeps it as close to the original format for the 3PDs as it will make the cost of entry into the new market cheaper as the knowledge base is already there.

Ok then Jeroen... I'll do that here! :LMAO: (re: http://forum.avsim.n...sible-painting/ last post)

I thought it hilarious when this gopal nut revived an old thread then put 2 links to a new (same) thread. :Silly: I mean really... what a nut...

But now with the continued spamming... I find myself looking for the little "-1" red arrow so I could go back and zing all his "give me credit" posts. :aggressive:
