March 3, 201214 yr I've noticed that when increasing and decreasing throttle, what I get mostly is just an increase and decrease in volume. Or that's what is sounds like. Doesn't really sound right. The RPM variance seems okay.Has anyone else had this? March 3, 201214 yr Author That's a shame, I really like the FSX sounds;-( Windows 10 (x64) - X-Plane 11 - M/B: Asus ROG Maximus IX Hero - CPU: i7 7700k (@5.0GHz) - RAM: 32Gb Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 @ 3200MHz - Video: GTX1080ti - Cooling: Custom water loop (EK 140 Revo D5 pump/res combo, EK EVO CPU block, EK XE360 Rad)

March 3, 201214 yr Author I have in outside spot view. In the VC is fine but outside all that happens is a decrease in volume. Horrible;-( Might try installing my sound card instead of the onboard, but that then gives errors in FSX. Considering that Flight has a completely new sound engine from FS9/FSX, it is without question "different." That much is fact.An additional fact is that the new sound engine is much more flexible than the previous one, and allows for a greater variety of sound effects to be easily added to the model.Whether it is better or worse on the other hand is an entirely subjective issue, based on one's personal preferences. On the whole, I like the new sound system myself if for no other reason than that they've finally managed to get the prop pitch changes right! :LMAO: Fr. March 3, 201214 yr Author Now running with an Asus Xonar PCI sound card but still have the same issue. It's very difficult to actually describe what happens. I'll maybe try a small video... March 3, 201214 yr Some people were experiencing weird problems with the sound in the beta if I recall, one person changed to a soundcard from an onboard realtek and they noticed alot of difference. Could be related to soundchips etc and peoples setups.I have an onboard chip on mine, my motherboard model only came out in November so it has an up to date audio chip compared to others though and I do not notice anything weird with the sound. I actually think its quite immersive overall. It certainly is upto A2A standards, alot of what you get in the new Acufeel package, you get in Flight already, like opening a door or the canopy and hearing a difference in audio. For example if you are on the ground and open the canopy on the icon whilst the engine is running you hear a noticeable difference.CraigIs it with a specific plane Dougal or all of them?
March 3, 201214 yr Author Here's a brief video showing what I mean. It's not as obvious as this with the other aircraft either. No worries, I am in agreement as well, I have a very decent sound system and Flight sounds very very good to me. Don B
March 3, 201214 yr Here's a brief video showing what I mean. It's not as obvious as this with the other aircraft either. This is the worst one.in addition to changes in volume, I get a noticeable bass sound increase when I increase the throttle that is not present at low throttle. I'm not hearing this difference at all in your video.Inside the cockpit (which is the most important to me by far) the differences in the sounds is more distinct, including the changes in the wind sounds.Try decreasing and increase the prop rpms, and see how that sounds (MUCH more than just changes in volume on my PC, even in the exterior views). March 4, 201214 yr Author Hi ArwenYes, inside the VC is better, including that base increase. I also get good/great sounds when changing RPM, both inside and out.The only problem seems to be throttle/manifold pressure whilst in OUTSIDE view. It's about the only thing taking the edge off Flight for me at the moment.
