March 3, 201214 yr Need a little help here. I have been spending more and more time in the Free Flight mode just looking around the island and making various appoaching and landings. When I start getting low on fuel, I go back to the Hangar and click on say 75% Fuel for the Stearman. When I return to FF the additional fuel does not show. I totally quit the game, startup again, select FF and I still don't have the 75% fuel load. Maybe the question should be What are the options or requirements for adding fuel?Another fuel related question - I flew one of the Challenges for a Stearman Landing so many time that I am totally out of fuel. Can I add fuel somehow to continue with my bonehead ways? Thanks. I am throughly enjoying Flight.Ray When Pigs Fly . Ray Marshall .
March 3, 201214 yr From the map screen, go to Free Flight and click on the Legend. Note that the airports where you can fuel up have a slightly different symbol. When you are on the ground at those airports, just hit the "F" key and you will be able to fuel up.You can also fuel up from the Hanger. But you have to click on "Select Aircraft" for any fuel changes to stick. Edited March 3, 201214 yr by Arwen ~ Arwen ~ Home Airfield: KHIE
March 3, 201214 yr From the manual:Managing FuelBefore heading out on a mission or exploring the world in Free Flight, you can refuel in the Hangar. Click the Fuel icon in the upper-rightcorner of the screen, and then drag to the right to add fuel. If you wantto lighten your fuel load, drag left. Bert
March 3, 201214 yr Are you on the ground? You can't add fuel in the air. Don't forget that when you quite MSF when you are in the air and start MSF later on, you will still be in the air (MSF always remember where you are and under which conditions!). Afaik you have to be on the ground and you might even have to shut things down in order to load fuel.

I guess I was backing up rather than 'otherwise' guessing.J van E, I was in the Hangar, just click on the wrong side of the screen. duh. Both Arwen and Chukmake nailed it immediately. Thanks guys and gals. No wonder people keep saying 'Ray is a couple of french fries short of a 'Happy Meal'?Thanks all, I'm off to grease a few landings.Ray Edited March 3, 201214 yr by raymar When Pigs Fly . March 3, 201214 yr hey guys,The easiest way i use: depending on what kind of flight you doing (cargo, pax, free roam..etc), on the ground before T/O, just hit "F", and add or remove fuel...Cheers
