Always wanted to make a few flying videos.Downloaded FRAPS last night and fiddled around with windows Movie Maker. This is my first attempt at making a Flight video and I chose getting gold in this challenge as the subject.Hope the quality is not too bad and I left the HUD on screen so that the throttle could be seen.Hopefuly it will help someone out and it's a bit of fun.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ma4UBtKU828Fred.

Fred, you de man. Sure makes it look easy. I was thinking about making one showing how to just miss the bronze. :Liar:I'm on the Oscar Selection Committee for Amateur Foreign Films on a Limited budget, less than 5 minutes long. Music score is a little weak. (My wife, watching TV in the living room, yells ,"is that your computer making that noise?". No, honey, Its Fred, going for the gold. :LMAO: Bong, bong, bong, bong, zoom, bong, bong . . .Ray

Thanks Don and Ray ! ( love your sense of humour Ray !.....lol )I forgot to mention that I only use 10% fuel for these challenges.Don't want the extra weight but don't want to be too light either.Just uploading the 2nd one now. " Gold Rush - Wind Farm."I am pushing the plane a bit harder in this one and making steeper turns. Made very good time.Keep a look out for it later !Fred.

Do you really do this from the external view or is that just for the purposes of the video? I managed to do Hilo Bay after like 20 tries fro the cockpit however with the other two I only get to silver.Great video otherwise,Cheers,Alex

Hi Alex.Yes, the main reason for the outside view is so that folks can sorta see the general layout/plan so to speak.I have done all 3 in the Icon, Stearman and the RV-6 both in the cockpit and outside. They are NOT easy. That's for sure.I have been in the beta since Jan 5th so have had lots of time and practise.Fred.

Trying a few different strategies is good fun too. Then when you feel comfotable try them in the cockpit !Fred.

I've not been able to get gold in any of these coin missions... They are tricky.

Oh I only do it from within the cockpit - guess that is the "hardcore" part of me.
