Multiplayer Hiding spots

Featured Replies

I get kids will be kids, I get plane simulators multiplayer will always have the `crash into everyone guy' but there is a golden rule about not biting the hand that feeds you. So last night I was hosting MP.. Before I went to bed I asked if they wanted the weather changed etc and told them I'm minimizing the game and not cutting off hosting. Then went and parked my plane in a completely out of the way place in the back far corner of Hilo and went to bed. My plane couldn't have been more out of the way if I tried.Don't you know I woke up this morning to find the big `You crashed' dialog box with the ambulance on it up on my screen. I mean I'm hosting the game. I left it up for people to enjoy and someone still decided they needed to kamikaze the host? What the heck man..So anyone recommend any good hiding spots that really makes it hard for idiots to purposely crash into you?

You can hit the "Escape" key and click "Exit Free Flight". This will take you to the main menu and you will not be able to crash but people can still join the session and fly around.

Now that is just rude! Hard to believe anyone would do that to anyone, much less do it to someone who is kind enough to host, and kind enough to leave the machine running to allow them to continue to fly...Guess I am glad I don't do the multiplayer thing - I used to be a very hard core racing simmer online several years ago, some of the antics and other factors pretty much burned me out on multiplayer...

Did not know that.. (Exiting free flight) Fantastic.. Thank youP.S. I would have posted this in the new Multiplayer forum but it is not showing up using Tapatalk. I use my phone (or tablet) quite regularly to read forums etc while gaming. I have notified Tom about it.

Most of the players i've attempted to commune with have simply ignored me, i really really hope a serious club is made because im sick of the anti social wannabes that i seem to be unlucky in finding

During the Beta many of us suggested some kind of filters and other enhancements to the multiplayer settings, but I don’t know if they will implement such things.Unfortunately you were away from your PC and thus don’t know who it was!But if you find them, report them via the LIVE HUD, select their name and Send Complaint, I also don’t know how this will work out, but we can try.As for hiding, I don’t think there is a suitable place, your gamertag will show on their screen, so you’ll better take the advice of previous posters (Hit Escape – Save your game (while inside the aircraft) and quit Free Flight, You can then resume next day.

In FSX, I used to pause when someone about to crash me, once even had a guy take over in the Standard 737, I lost 95% control, but I did manage to shut down the fuel and prevent a problem! I wonder id pausing MSF will also help?

Im not going to host anymore sessions, had it happen to me 3 times now that they just want to crash into me, not very fun to to at last hehe. Oh well tried it and it sucks, no more multiplayer.

OHN: Don't lock Yourself out because some or many jerks out there want to spoil your fun. There are many of us who won't play the Kamikaze, and want to have serious fun while flying. If You want to host a session, change your multiplayer settings to Friends Only or to Private.I'll join you or any other serious guy anytime, my gamertag is the same kabronicus

This may be a moronic question - and I'm by no means defending some of the multiplayer morons - but is it possible your aircraft rolled into something? I've had mine move when I was out walking around...

Its a valid question.Yes planes can move while you are out walking around, specially when winds are high. Apparently the parking brakes won't allways work and there is no tie down.Note: Also if you are parked next to a building, go to map screen and then go back to flight, your aiplane can be repositioned and might crash. This will also add a crash to your stats.
