March 16, 201214 yr I reported the other checklist items. Did you report the checklist lock up and what might have caused it? I'll give it a try next time I'm in the Stearman.HookI reported that issue during the beta testing. ~ Arwen ~ Home Airfield: KHIE
March 16, 201214 yr You can submit stuff to the tutorials section, I put my 'Simple Radio Nav' tutorial in there, just takes a few days to be approved. But I was thinking of making a set of web pages, optimised for a touch-screen 7-inch display (like my android tablet ....).Only problem would be getting agreement to use other peoples stuff (and getting a web-site without all the clickys...., which is in progress)According to the r/w Stearman notes, it came with two different engines, with different oil pressures. Just need to know which one Flight represents...BTW we should all read Cannibal Queen by Stephen Coonts, a r/w Stearman owner and author...CheersKeithForgive my noobishness, but where might I find this "tutorials section" you refer to, Kemosabe?? :)

March 16, 201214 yr According to the r/w Stearman notes, it came with two different engines, with different oil pressures. Just need to know which one Flight represents... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boeing-Stearman_Model_75 reports a Continental. The model in Flight is a PT-17. Wikipedia reports the PT-17 uses a Continental engine."PT-17 With a Continental R-670-5 engine. 3,519 delivered"Hook Larry Hookins Oh! March 16, 201214 yr One nice detail we have on the Flight PT-17 Stearman. Ramón. Time, is the one thing no one can buy.
March 17, 201214 yr Author So thatsnormal 50-75 psi, 50-60 deg CI've updated the checklist, but theres still a discrepancy with the USN Pilots Notes.eg USN _ warm up at 700 RPM, MS - warm up at 1550 RPM, but MS are doing mag checks too, so its not just a warm up - you wouldn't do mag checks at 700 RPM...Are there any other Stearman pilots notes available?CheersKeith ...
March 17, 201214 yr Here are some good sites for the Stearmanhttp://www.stearman.net/http://www.sunzeri.com/Stearman/docpage.htm Ramón. Time, is the one thing no one can buy.
March 19, 201214 yr Another things I'd like to mention now that we're on checklistsanother one from me: would be neat to have 'conditional'c checklists. I mean I do not need the before engine start checklist if the engine is running. or the before takeoff checklist if I am actually flying at 7000'. would keep the amount of options low and availabe checklists could fit on 1 page... Phil Leaven i5 10600KF, 32 GB 3200 RAM, ASUS 4070 12GB EVO, Asus ROG Z490-H, 2 WD Black NVME for each Win11 (500GB) and MSFS (1TB), Rolling Cache 16GB, Photogrammetry always OFF, Live Weather and Live Traffic always ON, Res 2560x1440 on 27"
March 19, 201214 yr 'conditional' checklistsOccasionally I like to review a checklist that would have been missing under your conditions. Some form of simplification would be nice though... as long as it didn't add more complexity. :DHook Larry Hookins Oh! March 19, 201214 yr "Quote-Keithb77" : "BTW we should all read Cannibal Queen by Stephen Coonts, a r/w Stearman owner and author..."I totally agree Keith . Read this book at least three times . If you are a Stearman fan like me , I think everyone should give this book a try . Rich
