No Airstairs

Featured Replies

Everything with FS2Crew appears to be working ok with the exception it won't deploy the Airstairs when I have Gate Dep and Arr set to 'No' in the Config Panel.I was originally using the BA Livery, then tried the PMDG House Livery 737-800 but it made no difference. I do have the Airstairs selected in the NGX CDU and can open them manually from the CDU.I am using the NGX SP1c update and load FSX to 2D by default, the panel loads the NGX CLDDRK.Doing a search nobody else has mentioned this problem = any ideas ??Glen

No, do I need it on ? The only item ON is 'Doors'

No, its selected on in the CDU all the time.I'm not sure if this may be related but I cannot save the Airstair deployment state in the normal NGX Panel Saves. If I load a panel where the Airstairs were previously saved deployed, they are always stowed again when I reload the panel. I have brought this up a couple of times in the NGX forum but each time nobody else answers as if they don't have the problem and its only me.Only other programs I have is GSX (which I'm not currently using) and Ezdok camera which I believe a lot of people use.Glen

Not sure if it's the good solution but AC and DC electrical power must be available on airplaneRegards,Richard Portier

Hi RichardThats a very valid point, but I leave that up the FO, its his job to select the relevent power as specified in the Config Panel. Can any other forum member please say if the Airstairs work OK for them so I can discount a FS2Crew bug and start looking at my own setup. Thanks, Glen

Just a quick update. The Airstairs work OK if I lower them manually at departure i.e. FS2Crew will stow them when the doors close. Also at the arrival gate when the cabin crew open the doors they also deploy the Airstairs. So for some strange reason its only the initial deployment when FS2Crew opens the doors thats not working - Gate Dep is definately set to 'No'Glen

Doesn´t work for me either.

Guys,I'll add a note to the manual to clarify this...If starting from a cold and dark cockpit, turn the Battery switch on first before running "PF Events".The plane needs battery power in order for the stairs to deploy. That's why the stairs didn't work.I just confirmed this a minute ago.I just added a redundancy check in SP1 so FS2Crew will also attempt to deploy the stairs "after" the FO has turned on the ship's battery.Cheers,
