March 17, 201214 yr Was just wondering if ENB can be used as an fps limiter by forcing the refresh rate in the ini settings?[ENGINE]ForceAnisotropicFiltering=1MaxAnisotropy=8ForceDisplayRefreshRate=1 <<<<<<<<<<<<<<DisplayRefreshRateHz=35 <<<<<<<<<<<<<<Please advise. DIMITRI
March 17, 201214 yr Not sure if it will work correctly. Even if it does work, it likely will only provide results while running the sim in full-screen.
March 17, 201214 yr Author Ben, I do run fullscreen.I dont want to use the java based limiter.I was hoping enb could accomplish the same result. DIMITRI
March 17, 201214 yr The answer is noYou are looking at the REFRESH RATE of the monitor in use which has nothing to do with frame rate, nor will it have any control of ithttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Refresh_rate
March 17, 201214 yr Author Ok, thanks! After some searching I found that this parameter added to the ENB ini. can act as an fps limiter. Can anyone confirm this?[LIMITER]WaitBusyRenderer=1EnableFPSLimit=1FPSLimit=35 DIMITRI
March 17, 201214 yr Am I assuming correctly then, that you're using an ATI gpu, Dimi? i7 [email protected] | 32GB RAM | EVGA RTX 3080Ti | Maximus Hero VII | 512GB 860 Pro | 512GB 850 Pro | 256GB 840 Pro | 2TB 860 QVO | 1TB 870 EVO | Seagate 3TB Cloud | EVGA 1000 GQ | Win10 Pro | EK Custom water cooling.
March 18, 201214 yr Thanks![LIMITER]WaitBusyRenderer=1EnableFPSLimit=1FPSLimit=35seems working, as an fps limiter.

March 18, 201214 yr Thanks![LIMITER]WaitBusyRenderer=1EnableFPSLimit=1FPSLimit=35seems working, as an fps limiter.Very interesting...so to use this do I copy the above section LIMITER and paste this into my enbseries.ini? Bryan Wallis aka "fltsimguy" Maple Bay, British Columbia Near CAM3
March 18, 201214 yr Very interestingyes, just paste those 4 lines into enbseries.ini, then you can run fsx.exe directly.
March 18, 201214 yr Hmm, I also copy/pasted this section and put it into my enbseries.ini immediately after [PROXY] section, so it's second section in *.ini, but it does not work on my system, windowed or full screen modeAny suggestions venustus?. Fly S A F E ! Andrej Drobun http://www.slo4fsx.si
March 18, 201214 yr Author Andrej,I merely copied the LIMITER section at the end of my enb.ini. and it seems to work DIMITRI
March 18, 201214 yr O.K., I moved the [LIMITER] section to the end of *.ini file, still no joy and I wasn't expecting really to see any difference - just position of a section can't really make any difference.Let's see what are the differences in our systems? For this tests I'm using I can say what's default installation of FS X+Acceleration - some addon aircraft and scenery, but no other tweaks, no Altuve's fsx.cfg tweaks, nothing of this sort.Could it be, this [LIMITER] section actually invokes a piece of software you do have and I don't?
