March 18, 201214 yr Hi,Me again (insert groan here). :( I've noticed that the F/As will open the exit doors after engine shutdown irregardless of my making a PA announcement, "cabin crew - cleared to open doors". The online manual starts that making this PA is a condition of the doors opening in FS2Crew. Currently, the F/A will call with the "Captain, all doors disarmed" message, which I acknowledge, and then proceed to open the doors without my making the requisite PA announcement first.I feel the F/A is attempting to usurp my authority as pilot in command.Thank you,John Thomas

March 19, 201214 yr Commercial Member In SP1, the FA opening the door at gate arrival is tied to the Voice Command PA you'll need to make telling the FA's to open the doors. B. York FS2Crew Web Site / FS2Crew Facebook Page / FS2Crew Discord
March 19, 201214 yr In SP1, the FA opening the door at gate arrival is tied to the Voice Command PA you'll need to make telling the FA's to open the doors.Ok, you mean you'll issue a voice command to open the doors rather than pressing the O-DOORS button on the PA panel?

March 19, 201214 yr That's great news :smile:The more things you can do using your voice rather than pressing buttons the better if you ask me...especially in the voice edition.Any chance you could trigger the descent phase briefing the approach using your own voice too rather than pressing the Play brief button?
March 19, 201214 yr Commercial Member That's already in there:Speak: "Are you ready for the approach brief?"Then close the brief by saying: "Any questions"? B. York FS2Crew Web Site / FS2Crew Facebook Page / FS2Crew Discord
March 19, 201214 yr That's already in there:Speak: "Are you ready for the approach brief?"Then close the brief by saying: "Any questions"?OK then, that's great because I thought I read somewhere in the documentation that it's important you always play the "built-in" approach briefing since that is what will trigger FS2Crew to advance to Descent mode?

March 19, 201214 yr That's already in there:Speak: "Are you ready for the approach brief?"Then close the brief by saying: "Any questions"?Just tried this and it doesn't work, I found that you need to press the Play Brief button for the approach brief...until you do the FO will not start his descent flow just like it says in the documentation or am I missing something? Would be great if you could trigger the descent flow either way...pressing the Play brief button or perform the decent brief using you own voice just like you suggest.

This feature will also help customers who use other FS2Crew programs, like the J41. The more similar they are, the easier it is to smoothly transition from one airplane to another. Curt Branch

It works for me.Did you see the phrase in the green bar?Cheers, B. York FS2Crew Web Site / FS2Crew Facebook Page / FS2Crew Discord
March 20, 201214 yr Ok, that's strange but will give it another try then and just to make sure I understand you correctly...what you say is that asking the question "Are you ready for the approach brief?" resulting in the FO replying he's ready and then finishing off by saying "Any questions?" resulting in the FO replying "No questions" will put FS2Crew in descent mode and the FO starting his descent flow setting the autobrake etc in the same way as pressing the Play brief button on the BR page under the approach section? And running through this dialog is all I need to do to set FS2Crew in decent mode or is there anything else I need to do/say?I didn't have DSP enabled so can't say what the green bar said but the FO replied with "I'm ready for the brief" followed by "No questions" so I assume that indicates he understood what I said...?As I said, will try this again on my next flight. Would be great if it's already working :(
