graphic problem

Featured Replies

I have some problems with graphics, I have attached a two pictures and my system info.it's not only with FSX. Same happens with FS9, if i watch videos or pictures etc.I have this problem for a couple of days, i don't know what happens and i don't remember anything that may be a reason. Before i instaled new nvidia driver, i did complete uninstall of old driver and cleanup with "driver sweeper".I think that new driver is not reason, i tried to uninstall and install old driver, without results. I Tried monitor settings, nvidia control panel settings etc. with same results.I have my fsx set as is recommended by Ryan, i didn't change any settings in FSX, graphics or monitor menu.Any advice will be appreciated.Thankshttp://img17.imageshack.us/img17/2683/fsx3m.jpghttp://img819.imageshack.us/img819/2969/fsx4.jpg

Hi Zeljko,It's not very clear from your images, but it looks like your AA settings have been reset. What do you use to control AA? Did you know that whenever you install a new Nvidia driver it wipes all of your profiles, both in NVinspector and the NVCPL?bestjake

Thank you Jake.I use nvidia inspector, AA is disabled inside fsx menu. And i set all nvidia inspector profiles again after installing new driver. The problem is not only with fsx, even my default screen is not looking good - windows7 theme is looking awful too. I can't see any straight line on my PC right now.Could this be related to my graphic card or monitor(some physical problem)?

Zeljko, when you installed the new driver did you choose 'custom install' and tick the 'clean install' at the bottom of the window? This removes all nvidia registry entries from the PC registry. This is always recommended in cases like this. If you have already done this, you can try creating a dummy windows profile, log into it, and see if your graphics return to normal.I'd be surprised if it was hardware in this case.bestjake

removed old driver from control panel/programs and features, reboot in safe mode and then run "driver sweeper" to remove all about nvidia from my computer(including registry entries). Then i check for leftover folder and files, reboot again and start windows normally. After that i instaled new driver(clean install) and set profiles with nvidia inspector. But i could see that AA problem persist without any driver(after i reboot windows in safe mode), even letters that appears when you start windows(ms dos)are slightly distorted.I'll try with new profile, thanks again Jake

Just out of curiosity, if you open device manager does it have any flags on your display adaptor?

Are you sure you didn't change any FSX settings? Go to Options -> Display, on the Graphics tab, make sure that Anti-aliasing is ticked. Also make sure that Texture filtering is on Anisotropic.

Zeljko,do you have another PC you can test the monitor/graphics card in/on?bestjae

I have my fsx set as is recommended by Ryan, i didn't change any settings in FSX, graphics or monitor menu.
Ryan gives three sets of settings - have you tried all 3? I don't get very good results on one of them. And Jake's method is the best - use custom install to delete the old driver. You have gone through several stages to get to where nVidia gets in one. The simple way is often the best. :(

no, no flags

No change in fsx settings, I'm sure about that. AA in fsx graphics tab is not ticked, but is set with nvidia inspector(and is set to overide any aplication settings). Anyway, it's not just fsx related problem, my default screen is not anti aliased, videos, pics etc. And i checked default nvidia settings.

nope, only laptop

I use custom install usually, but this time I tried everything that could be helpful.I would really like to find the cause for this. If not, i'm considering reinstalling my graphic card or/and complete windows reinstall.Thank you all, really appreciate

I would try completely removing any driver for the gpu or your display. Cleaning with driver sweeper in the safe mode. Then installing latest driver. This is not normal if that's a monitor shot with a camera?Sent from my iPhone using Forum Runner

I didn't tried to change monitor driver, for gpu i tried this metod with driver sweeper in safe mode. And the shot was taken using windows 7 snipping tool

Well, if that was a screenshot and a photo, then I really have no idea. Photos can't be aliased by the computer alone, it wouldn't know where to start.I think the Photo is quite normal. Apart from those lines, which I would describe as a poor camera... Maybe post an original shot here, not with the snipping tool?Sent from my iPhone using Forum Runner

the shot is taken from this video:

I have it on my cpu. When i downloaded this video, I could watch it in HD and there was no problems. A problems appears a 5-6 days ago, it's not affect only fsx, or only videos - i see letters in command promt distorted, all icons on desktop etc. The problem is, becouse of that i can't enjoy my fsx and ngx. I can't look in monitor - it's not good for eyes.I'll try your advice with monitor drivers.Thank you
