March 23, 201214 yr Is it possible for the NGX to properly initialise without using the "Trike overhead Friday Harbor" default flight? When FSX finishes loading the aircraft jumps forward a few feet and the engines run for a split second before they shut down. I tried a while ago with the "Default C172 parked, cold and dark" default flight but the throttles didn't work on the NGX. I'm just wondering if had been fixed or if there's a workaround.Any help would be appreciated.
March 23, 201214 yr Are you definitely sure the throttle problem had to do with default flight? I sometimes have problems with my throttles, if I forget to plug my yoke in before starting FS. Re-plugging the yoke, or opening FSUIPC window will take care of that. --Peter Fabian
March 24, 201214 yr Author Yes I think so. The link below describes the problem: The VC Throttle moves but the instrumentation doesn't respond.http://forum.avsim.net/topic/341688-no-thrust-when-moving-thrust-levers/
March 24, 201214 yr Commercial Member That's caused by FSUIPC, not by the flight file. Delete the FSUIPC.ini and let it build a new one and the throttles will work. Ryan MaziarzFor fastest support, please submit a ticket at http://support.precisionmanuals.com

However not cold and dark, as that will cause problems. You need avionics switched on and mixture at 100%. Use the PMDG panel states to get a cold and dark NGX.
March 24, 201214 yr Commercial Member Doesn't the intro manual say that you can just load the NGX right from the start screen? Kyle Rodgers
March 24, 201214 yr Doesn't the intro manual say that you can just load the NGX right from the start screen? It does, that's exactly what I do, but you still have to have a default flight. The default flight is important to how FSX initialises even though you don't actually load it.
March 25, 201214 yr I set the NGX as my default plane with my own C&D as default load state, no need to configure other items with a default plane. Regards Andrea Daviero
