March 25, 201214 yr Here's a short video to show the hangar at PHNL that looks ideal for multiplayer hangar races. The video includes a voice-over explaining how the race works. If anyone's interested we're planning a race Sunday 3/25/12 at 1:00 PM US Pacific time. Hope to see you there!http://youtu.be/GgFDAfrtEZ4
March 25, 201214 yr Hi FrankWho will be hosting? gamertag? Thanks, I surely try to be there. Ramón. Time, is the one thing no one can buy.
March 25, 201214 yr Author I can host it. What I'll do is see who's online just before 1:00, and send an invite out to all of them at once. The ones who are not interested or in the middle of a job can ignore my invite. Anyone interested now knows what to look for at PHNL, so you can go practice a bit if you like. I've found that the RV is the best plane for this, since it is a lot lower in height than a Maule or Stearman. So, I'll keep score and film it all with Fraps, and we'll see how it goes. It should be fun to see how pilots go about avoiding other planes that might be trying to fly through the hangar at the same time they are! :Just Kidding:
March 25, 201214 yr Oh so everyone will be going at it at once?! Ow!Count me in. Oracle427 is the tag.
March 25, 201214 yr Author Sorry oracle! I sent a general invite to everyone who was online at the time (even if they did not want to race). To join you just click "accept invite". Maybe you came in just after I left the invite screen to enter the game... (edit: it may be that I entered the game a few minutes before 1:00, and if so I apologize.)We'll try again. The races went well. There were several participants, and some good races (and the odd spectacular crash). I recorded about 20 gig worth of Fraps footage, which I'll post highlights of at YouTube a little later. The participants really enjoyed it, so I think this may indeed prove to be a fun way of using Flight. Just need more players. It was fun with just three racers. If we had ten it would be incredible.
March 25, 201214 yr Hey FrankFasi, I was actually in the game parked behind you someways to stay out of your camera. I was trying to use Voice or Text chat to communicate but it didn't seem to be working. I think you just confirmed that you didn't see anything I was typing in there. It looked like fun from my seat. :)
March 25, 201214 yr Maybe your voice hardware wasnt properly set up. Press the HOME key, then settings, then voice I believe. Regards, Tom

March 26, 201214 yr In the difficult to find tutorials section of this forum, there's info on how to unlock a "Screenshot" camera that would be perfect for filming this. It's like the Cockpit view, but you can use the middle mouse button to move the POV all over outside of the aircraft, so you could park your camera over at the hangar without having to get out of your plane and walk there.
