March 30, 201214 yr Author Okai well I guess there's nothing PMDG can do. I just find it weird that for me the NGX suffers a lot more than e.g. the PMDG 747 which also hurts FPS quite a lot.Let's hope P3D will fix it if it isn't fixed already (and that PMDG will support P3G :() John doe
March 30, 201214 yr @ Squishy. Take a look.http://forum.avsim.net/topic/367861-ngx-as2012-fs2crew-prepar-3d/Regards, Rick Hobbs
March 30, 201214 yr well can you experts then explain this?I have the opposite issue with another very complex aircraft from Leonardo ? It was not the problem at the beginning of my FSX installation but has become an issue while the mouse is GONE. VERY VERY WEIRD/Michael Moe Michael Moe
March 30, 201214 yr I have a very strong PC even by todays standards, and I still loose 10fps with the mouse cursor on the screen. I'm not saying this to make the point that PMDG's optimizations didn't make much of a difference, I'm sure it could be much worse with other addons. I asked the question about Prepar3d and the Hardware Cursor at their forum, let's see if they say something about this.If Prepar3d fixes this, that alone is enough reason for me to make the switch, since most addons comming out now are gonna be Prepar3d compatible, including the essencial REX Evolution. The only Cons is PMDG, and I don't blame them, but now with Academic License and stuff I think they should give it another shot, it doesn't seem like a simulator for professionals in the area anymore, in fact look at this table from their websitehttp://www.prepar3d.com/prepar3d-license-comparison/Graduate Student, Private Pilot, so, it sure looks like anybody can get it and fly it now, it's just a matter of paying the 199 license, clearly trhe 49 one isn't made for any of us. March 30, 201214 yr I note they say there is an "Unobtrusive Watermark" in the top right corner of the Academic version. I wonder how unobtrusive. Rick Hobbs
