March 29, 201214 yr Hey guys,I've been in the market for a good, good regional jet (besides the beloved NGX and Jetstream) for quite some time now, as I've been anxiously waiting for Aerosoft's CRJ and/or Majestic Dash 8-Q400, but seeing as those probably won't come out for a looooong few months, I'm thinking about purchasing either the Dash 8-Q300 or the Feelthere Embraer 175/195's (since there's a sale on them for only 20 bucks). I was also waiting for the Wilco Nextgen CRJ series, but they had previously stated the release date would've been 3/30/2012, and as of today it says Quarter 2, 2012, which leads me to the possibility of it being delayed again even possibly past Quarter 2.I'm looking for some feedback on which of these two would be best for short hops around 45 minutes to 1:30 in duration and good flight dynamics and systems, along with decent looks. Which of these two aircraft have the best functioning FMC?Thanks for any feedback you guys can provide, and if you have any other suggestions for another aircraft that would fit into this post, please feel free to suggest it! March 29, 201214 yr I have both and for your criteria would recommend going with the FeelThere 175/195 jets. They are a recent product with good looks (although someone will quickly point out the less than ideal night lighting in the cockpit...), good systems simulation, and a functional FMC complete with Navigraph database update capability. And by the way, FeelThere's Embraer 135/145 v2 package is also a nice one.The Majestic Q300 is a wonderful turboprop that suffers from very dated graphics re the virtual cockpit and 2-D cockpit panels; the developer has hinted that after the release of the Q400 ( :( please soon...), he might upgrade the Q300 cockpit graphics, which would be fantastic. The FMC in the Q300 is functional but more basic than the one in the E jet. Wayne KlocknerUnited Virtual
March 29, 201214 yr Author How are the 135/145 145XR Series, if you have any experience with those? R. Dawson
March 29, 201214 yr How are the 135/145 145XR Series, if you have any experience with those?I've flown the feelThere 145v2 a lot as part of my virtual airline involvement and have enjoyed it. This includes quite a bit of VATSIM flight time in it as well. Wayne KlocknerUnited Virtual
March 29, 201214 yr FeelThere's Embraer 135/145 v2HelloI prefer the 135/145 V2, very nice package apart from the night lighting, and some good tutorials for it here in the library. The Feelthere Embraer 175/195's are uninstalled, IMHO the VC texturing is very poor, apart from that the systems are fine. If you are a 2D only guy then they may be worth a look.Eaglesoft Citation X is worth a look also if you like going a long way, very fast and very high.
March 29, 201214 yr FeelThere E-jets i would go for.I have the 175/195 and i love it.I find the FMC to be quite powerful,...i havn't found anything i cant do with it yet. Regards Luke M

March 29, 201214 yr Ahh, I see, that's awesome. Which one of those do you prefer? What choices are you referring to? I've flown the 145 the most amongst all of the aircraft mentioned, but I like the slightly bigger and more complex 175/195s. Wayne KlocknerUnited Virtual
March 29, 201214 yr Author Ahh, ok I see, that's what I meant! Thanks for the information! Is there any chance you own any payware CRJ that are worth taking a look at? I know Wilco/Feelthere published one, and I know there IS a v.2 out there, but I'm not exactly sure which ones there are and which ones are good. R. Dawson
March 29, 201214 yr I don't, sorry, and am waiting for the Digital Aviation CRJ from Aerosoft like most of the rest of us. Wayne KlocknerUnited Virtual
March 30, 201214 yr I know Wilco/Feelthere published one, and I know there IS a v.2 out thereVERY important - wilco/feelThere CRJ 'regional jet V1 (aka, CRJ v1) was developed for FS8 (yes flightsim eight) and is a 'fleet' aircraft that does not have all systems modeled, some modeled in a 'light' way, and the FMC is limited.feelThere has no involvement with the CRJ 'NextGen' (aka, CRJ v2).-- D.
