turn around flight

Featured Replies

HelloHow do i start fs2crew when I am not running a full pre flight, shouldnt there still be a timer and should i not hear the boarding and receive a load sheet etc as these things still occur on a turn around, perhaps I am not triggering the start some how, thanksWayne

To hear/ get all of that you need to click "RUN PF" on the FS2Crew config panel.

No, the only way to get all of that is to run the Pre-flight. The way the program looks at it, when you load a flight it treats it as your first flight of the day. Once you land, if you hit "Run PF" again it will treat it as a turn and not do certain things that are only required on the first flight of the day (fire test, etc.) Hope this makes sense.

That's exactly right.FS2Crew models thru-flight procedures, and on the 2nd leg the FO won't do all the "first flight of the day" stuff he does on the 1st leg.

damienon a turnaround flight ie not selecting pre flight button in fs2crew config is there meant to be no countdown timer, i thought events such as load sheet and boarding sounds are triggered by the timer countdown but are they actually triggered by certain flow and checklist actions, hope that makes sense thankswayne

Wayne,The events are triggered by the countdown timer, not checklists or flows. At the end of the flight, if you want to fly another leg, you need to press RUN PF again after doing the Shutdown checklist. If you want to do a 2nd leg, it's important that you not skip sections in the 1st leg.. this is to ensure eveything gets reset properly for the upcoming 2nd leg.

  • 1 year later...

Sorry to grab this out

so if I have a saved flight and will do a return leg,  just as if I I did not saved the flight I have to run the shutdown checklist. After that, FS2Crew knows that we fly a second leg!?

Can somebody follow what I'm trying to ask! :P

Don't use saved flights; they cause problems with complex 3rd party addons.

If you do use a saved flight, FS2Crew won't know you're on a 2nd leg.

If you want to do a thru-flight, do it in one sitting.

Best,
