I'm considering getting FS2Crew for the MD11 and I wonder if, in addition to download the program itself, there is a need to download anything else (SP, etc etc).

I will just add to this, rather than create a new post - is this still the case? no updates etc needed?

Also - is it unlimited downloads? as pmdg only give a url valid for 1 week, and i (atm( tend to reinsall windows once a week lmao) and i keep having to email them to have a new url emailed.

yes you can download as many times as you like if you purchased it from fscrew2 web site

Thanks pete, - just that with the md11, you only et a weeks long url, which maybe a good idea maybe for security, its no good for the likes of me who tends to make a mess of things - it cant even be burnt to disc or usb.

Once you downloaded the md-11 just burn the exe to a dvd like with all your other pmdg exe's thats what i have done

 

or you can mirror your complete o/s system to an external drive so if you have a crash of your hard drive and if it needs replacing than its just a matter of just re installing again, same with if your pmdg exes get corrupted than you still will be able to retrieve it from your external drive. Only problem using this way is you need to purchase another program ie i use aconis home addition.

I have tried burning it, but i get a message saying it may not burn properly.

 

If my fsx is on drive F/FSX on my 2nd ssd

 

Can i reinstall windows on my main ssd and still keep fsx where it is?

I cant see why you couldnt do that but i leave this question for some else to answer.

 

Cant see why it would come up with the error like that unless you havnt got the program installed or the disc drive to burn to dvds?

My burner is working ok, ive burnt bios, iso's etc etc no worries,

Its a windows warning telling me some files may not transfer and may not work afterwards, so i haven't bothered trying,

Ok, it's calling me liar now, i have just managed to burn the zip file now, no idea why.

usaully the case it works the next day now you can do the same with all your other addons exes, main thing its working now for the time being

I had my first MD-11 flight with FSCrew tonight, this is really a very good addition to one of the best planes that is ever made for FSX.

 

A piece of advice: Download Patrick Zwarts flow from FSCrew's site to use when training, very useful!
