April 8, 201214 yr I too have been around playing since the 80's on computers that were, at the time labeled "IBM compatibles". I had a computer that was considered to be 80% IBM compatible LOL. That was when no one would dare to step on IBM at least 100%. Look where we are today. Absolutely amazing. I sure am happy too that we have some choices. Bob Officially retired
April 9, 201214 yr I really enjoyed the missions on FSX (I spent almost a week to land on that terrible moving bus...), and it would be nice to have something similar in XP. There is a plugin called Mission-X which I believe does the same thing as X-Adventures except that it's free http://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?showtopic=47953

It seems interesting, and I see that the latest version is very recent, the 2.0 final has been realeased just some days ago. I will read a bit more about it, I hope that good missions will be soon available also for XP. A.

April 10, 201214 yr Commercial Member I'm looking at it very hard. I'm thinking of using it for one of the VA's I fly for. Does it have a functioning FMC? It utilizes the default X-Plane FMC, so it's as functional as that at the least! Founder of X-Aviation

I actually use x-fmc with it, that lets you get Navigraph data fresh, and provides you with sids, stars, and terminal procedures. Only thing you can't use, or I haven't gotten to work at least, is the vnav control. Still, I find it very satisfactory for my purposes. Jack F. Vogel, Delta Virtual Airlines
