April 12, 201214 yr I have 10 hours right seat so far in a King Air 200 and it has a Garmin 530 and a 430 GPS and thats how most of the flying was done. We used the a\p on the pedestal with the Garmin for most of the flying and the approaches. JeffG Jeffrey Gerbert
April 12, 201214 yr Just to add in on what jacoba said, I have NO FLiGHT experience, I am not a computer programmer by ANY means...... Last year I went and did a tour of the Avro Arrow2 site( they are making a smaller scale Avro Arrow) The sim which is being used to train there test pilots (which is xplane) , I don't even want to tell you how many BANKS of computers to run the sim just to give them a small FEEL of what the aircraft would feel like. So the limitations that this aircraft has just to run an my HOME computer I can live with. Just my 2 cents( which is worth nothing!!!) Justin

Justin the multiple computers are not there for processing power, they are there to project a 360 degree view of the world. A systems simulation can easily be done by a home computer as companies like Level-D and PMDG have shown.

April 12, 201214 yr I got my fingers burned with Carenado's Baron. If I remember correctly, its Stuka-stall was only corrected by Bernt Stolle sneaking a fix out past the guards, and still hasn't been corrected by Carenado themselves. I've been watching carefully for the release of Carenado's C90, as the King Air is my favourite aircraft, and have been crying out for a really good version for ages. I tore my hair out trying to get the Aeroworx B200 to work in FSX, I was so keen (no joy), so I almost pulled the purchase trigger with Carenado on day one, hoping that this time things would be different. Thankfully, I decided to wait and see...and what I have seen, I don't like. I decided after the Baron that I would not buy another Carenado product unless they got their act together. They obviously haven't. RealAir can get this right, PMDG can get this right, A2A can get this right. There is just no excuse for this kind of nonsense. I'll check in again after about six months to see what kind of state its in, but in the meantime there's a very good freeware B300 available from...somewhere..., and I also have the Friendly Panels B350 which isn't bad at all for its much lower price tag. It even boasts an FMC. If I do weaken at some point and buy Carenado in the future, I'll try to buy it via Flight1. At least they offer refunds. H
