April 25, 201214 yr Greetings: Quick query regarding the front window view position. I've come form the FS9 PMDG version to the NGX so I'm used to the old position of the front window view (see more sky). The NGX front window appears to show more of the runway runway than I am used to. Is this the viewpoint everyone else is getting? Thanks, Iain WilloW (YMHB) flaps2approach.comB737-800 simulator
April 25, 201214 yr Just move your position a little if you want: Commands: CTRL+ Enter, CTRL + backspace SHIFT + Enter, Shift + Backspace CTRL + SHIFT + enter, CTRL+ SHIFT + Backspace CTRL + space =default view Lj. April 25, 201214 yr Author Thanks for the commands :) I was just curious if the window position was the way PMDG wanted it to look when they released the model - no big deal though as you can easily alter the view position, Iain WilloW (YMHB) flaps2approach.comB737-800 simulator
April 26, 201214 yr To someone who hasn't used these before CTRL + SHIFT + enter, CTRL+ SHIFT + Backspace are impressive from a display POV considering what we look at is 2D. William Hall
April 26, 201214 yr Commercial Member If you're seeing it looking straight down at the runway you need to set the WideViewAspect=True in the fsx.cfg. Otherwise yeah, don't compare anything on the NGX to the old NG we did - it was wrong in a ton of ways. Ryan MaziarzFor fastest support, please submit a ticket at http://support.precisionmanuals.com
April 26, 201214 yr I use EZDock - which alows easy setting of views - I have about 5 different ones for flying the NG _ a take off __ a cruise __ a dedicated instrument view__landing view__and HUGS. All mapped to buttons on my Warthog stick. Works great!
April 27, 201214 yr Wow! Just go take a look at Iain's photography site, that's Wow! He should be working for National Geographic. The cats and especially the cheetah shots are glorious. Well done, Iain! Frank
