May 5, 201214 yr Am I the only one with very good frames rates? I get better frames with the HD textures than the "lite" textures. These last ones bring my frames down 10 to 15 %. I just purchased from flight1 and at a first glance the Avedine has very little if not any impact at all! I'm running this thing @ 20 frames and more on the ground at Orbx airports with Rex on a cloudy day. I don't even have great specs, but I'm happy with the result! I don't mean to highjack this thread but how can I tell I have the sp2 installed? Thanks! David DD Hi David, hm good question, but I guess as it was released to Flight1 and Simmarket about the same time after the release of SP2 it should allready be included ... Best regards,
May 5, 201214 yr Thank's Andy! I know I have sp1 because there is the RXP integration option... I guess I'll just check if I have the glideslop indicator on the EHSI to find out if the sp2 is installed. David

David DD I do not yet have the C90B and I'm debating the purchase of it, but I would like to offer my experience with frame rates in FS9, FSX and Il-2. I'm always looking for better frame rates and smoother performance. I've tried low res textures and reducing AA and AF. Over the years I've found that good performance is a balancing act. FS9 and FSX are very CPU intensive sims and depend less on the video card. If you have a really fast CPU and RAM, but a poor video card, then low res textures and reduced AA and AF will help. But if you have a fast video card, then you might get pauses, stutters, low fps with the low res textures because the video card is waiting on the CPU to feed it more data. That's just been my experience, your mileage may vary. May 5, 201214 yr Hi stans, well what you say is absolutely true, I've been simming for a while now myself and I was always able to squeeze in the most performance in FS by balacing hardware and software settings. I guess that in my case it could be that my video cards is allowing me some better performance when playing in HD. It is not my CPU for sure altough it is not that bad @ all. I know that because before I had a less powerfull video card and I was getting less frames. I read so many bad threads about Ati cards in FS, and when they reffer to how bad the drivers get corrupt during updates they are totally right and I still don't know why Ati hasen't yet found a solution to this; On the other hand they give an incredible performance boost for such a convenient price! Overall I am very happy with the card I have now! David
May 5, 201214 yr You have a kick-a** system, You should not turn down the visuals or use low-res graphics. My system is much, much older and I still have to be careful. May 5, 201214 yr i try to put the default gps500 of the fsx on the spot of the avidyne but dont work, the avidyne i think its modelled ond the VC, if you desactivate of the panel.cfg its still there !! my frames are so bad with that thing on, i fly generally off avidyne

I see no difference between the C90 and the B60 with regard to frame rates. They are about the same. So no, you are not the only one who is happy with the C90. I really enjoy it and have no stuttering or other frame rate issues. KDub
May 7, 201214 yr Thanks Andy for the detailed procedure. It worked fine, though I'm not sure to notice better performances. In any case, I think I'll follow your advise and invest in Reality XP 430. Cheers Souheil
