May 6, 201214 yr to get this achievement do i have to land at the military bases in one session ?? also i think i counted 5 military bases. Am i missing any ?? Thanks
May 6, 201214 yr No, you can split them up between sessions. I think the 5 are: Bradshaw Bellows Ford Island Wheeler Barking Sands Aaron
May 6, 201214 yr Bellows is closed, doubt it counts. But add MCAS Kaneohe and Honolulu Intl, because the runways are shared with Hickam AFB.
May 7, 201214 yr thanks guys got it..i had never landed at Ford Island Which has also been closed for more than a decade and should not be in Flight as an active field, but, here we are. Glad you got it!
May 7, 201214 yr It's just fun to land on Ford island with all it's history. It looks closed anyway because the old runway is very worn but still serviable.
May 7, 201214 yr See the submarine across the end of the car bridge? Also, after last aerocache there, I tried to walk onto the USS ???. But couldn't go up the ramp. Anyway to get onboard?
May 7, 201214 yr My dad and I used to fly RC planes on western end of Ford Island back in the early 70's.
May 11, 201214 yr So I am assuming military used airports are blue or are those just major airports among the islands?
May 11, 201214 yr Blue have control towers. Magenta don't. It's standard aeronautical chart color-coding.
May 11, 201214 yr See... this is the Spice that FLIGHT brings, like no other before :-) (well, FU3 closely follows it ...) Learning to fly gliders since 1980Stopped using flightsims for good since early August 2026, after 34 yrs using some really great specimens... If I'm asked to name the preferred one, after all these years, MSFS 2024 is my answer without hesitation.(No desktop :-// after the last one crashed for good, so no simming, but I keep polling AVSIM - my main ludic activities spot since around 2006...)
May 12, 201214 yr I used to like in FU where you could grauze the top of a hill at high speed and scatter parts of the airplane all over the place. Also FU did a excellent job with rising terrain in your flight path as I remember.
