June 1, 201214 yr Author I much prefer flying with the 'relaxed' ATC; it's more realistic for one thing. I haven't heard any general aviation at 50,000', but that may just be chance - it didn't happen all the time. If the value is in one of the traffic bgl files, I am not sure why ATC would not sometimes relay the instruction... I wouldn't want to return to the default ATC now, so this was a very good find, Martin Martin Stebbing, EGLF (UK)
June 2, 201214 yr And finally a clean English ATC command menue in my German FS2004 too, no more language-mixed menue entries or jokes as "Berlin Mitte"... Thank you 3Green. Harald Geyer Gründer der Messerschmitt Freunde Dresden v. V.
June 2, 201214 yr So how is "Relaxed ATC" working on those Cessna's trying to climb to FL500? Has ATC stop yelling at them yet? Keep us posted Martin.... For anyone else using default ATC you might, you may want to check this thread out... http://calclassic.pr...lay&thread=4931 And with that, at a post count of 999 I officially bid you all farewell! It's been fun, but it's time.. Call me a "Silent key" in ham lingo, and 73's to all... RJ Wow very nice indeed! Myself believe there must be some modifications out there for default ATC but couldn't find one. June 3, 201214 yr You could do what I do. Not use ATC at all. Just FSNav to create and fly plans. All is peace and flying good. Occasionally I tune to a centre on a long flight if I am feeling particularly lonely, but i don't engage with ATC except to request a progressive taxi after landing. My main challenge in FS9 still remains landing (even after years I still haven't cracked the code and although i nearly always get down without crashing ,landings are still not always as good as I would like) . A good landing for me rounds of a sim session most excellently and therefore I don't miss or need default ATC. I know for other simmers ATC is very important ,but that's how I do it. Anyways some thoughts cheers Andy
June 3, 201214 yr Hi, tested the new version-c in the zip, and it is fantastic, quite and relaxed, and works well, much better. It seems that atc instructions are more precise due less babbling.. A keeper! Will be flying FS9 more, since out of the blue FSX decided to halve my fps without any reason, what a big buggy thing it is..
June 3, 201214 yr Indeed the relaxed-ATC was so much better. I don't know why but for the last few flights with relaxed ATC I didn't have any "turn left turn right turn left turn right" when approaching anymore.
