Is Chris Willis playing in the sandpit?

Jeroen, pardon me, but I didnt see anything rude in the initial question. I think this is a matter of english as a second language. Something I think you may also benefit from because your posts more than a few times come across as terse and sometimes less than polite, which I do not think you mean. Chris Willis is extremely talented but also sometimes does not communicate well in english. (but I am thankful for his work and his efforts!)Take that advice for what it may be worth before pouncing on someone else. This is a multi-national community and Im grateful to contribute and benefit from it.RegardsEric

>Once again we are reminded why someone came up with the>smiley :-)Hehe, I have in the past week tried to communicate on these forums without smileys, and have had moderate success. It is all in how you word it. If you use smileys, you can write down things how you would say them out loud....without smileys you need to make sure your wording is very clear on what you mean. Definately hard for me, as I have used smileys for countless years...

Hi,I think, if we are honest, that most of us are more than a little curious to know how Chris is getting on. That alone must bear testament to the fact that we hold his work in the highest esteem. No one wishes to upset a 3rd party developer, least of all when their hard work is offered to the community for no more than the occasional statement of appreciation and thanks. The initial question has popped up in various forms from time to time before and never seems to draw a response from Chris. Naturally it's human nature to wonder why, but then again I'm sure Chris being Chris will end up by surprising and delighting us all, when he is good and ready, as he has done so many times in the past. We just have to exercise a little restraint and remain patient. For me, one of the attractions of this hobby is the excitement that lies with the anticipation of what is to come!Mike

>C'mon guys, wasn't the subject-line just some kind of humour!>Like that we all play in a big sandpit and hope that Chris>hasn't left us here alone! I hope he hasn't :-)>>rgrds>fredrik granfors FrederikThe prize goes to you. I was indeed referring to the 'sandpit' as the place where we all 'play' and am horrified at the initial attacks from such worthy members of the community as Mr Jeroen Wenting and Mr Allcott. In no way was I intending to criticize Chris Willis. He has, on numerous occasions, provided me both directly and idirectly with help to set up my simulator and I respect his contributions to both in the forums and in the provision of textures and utilities.Thank you also to those who read the original post, saw nothing wrong with it and said so.It is indeed heartening sometimes to see some people pushed back into their box and the lid slammed shut.RgdsAndy b

FUNNY!?!? That's it. I'm never posting in this thread again.Text can't have a tone can it? How you tone it is up to you...
