May 27, 201214 yr What a complex mechanism this is! I am also thinking as I am watching, how crucial the landing gear is to passenger safety Yours trulyBoaz FraizerCopenhagen, Denmark
May 28, 201214 yr Nice, whats the little red light for? Fernando B ( I know I misspelled Boeing, I did it on purpose to make it Unique )
May 28, 201214 yr Author Nice, whats the little red light for? Ill see if I can find out, I believe it may just mean its operating. -Ryan Vince Quote from 911 magazine: "- ...RSR delivers unparallelled performance and stunning looks"
May 29, 201214 yr Author Ok, got some info from someone I know who works with planes and he said the red light is an indicator for testing situations like that to let everyone know the gear is "on" or "working" at that time. So if the red light is on and nothing is happening they know something is wrong! -Ryan Vince Quote from 911 magazine: "- ...RSR delivers unparallelled performance and stunning looks"
May 30, 201214 yr is the wheel well pressurized? Ben No, there is no reason to pressurize it. Alex Jevdic --- KORD A<380-----Love at first flight
June 4, 201214 yr That thing looks like a nightmare to model as complex as it is. Its intersting that they can test the gear independently of each other. John Bauer
June 4, 201214 yr That thing looks like a nightmare to model as complex as it is. Its intersting that they can test the gear independently of each other. Very simply done. You let the lock pin in the downlock brace, and the gear will not move :) Regards, Jerry
June 4, 201214 yr Woah, those wheels must weigh a ton! Btw, those wheels look very dirty to me if this is a delivery plane... LOL I see it was for Air Canada. i7-6700K @ 4.5 GHz, 16 GB DDR4-2400 MHz, GTX 1070 8GB
June 4, 201214 yr One complete wheel (tire + rim) weights around 250kilograms. So already 1.5 ton of wheels per landing gear truck. Each brake is another 60-80kg.... so yes, a lot of weight here! The dirt on the wheels comes from the carbon brakes, producing amounts of dust (very very thin dust, very hard to ged cleaned when you touch it). Those wheels here are not that dirty....you can easiky find much more darker ones :) Regards, Jerry
