June 4, 201214 yr The absolute biggest issue that was slated to be fixed in SP3 is the lack of a hardware mouse cursor - adding this would have ended the framerate drop you see in complex VCs when the cursor is on-screen. I would have hoped for a compiled 64-bit version of FSX.exe too that would have ended the address space exhaustion stuff once and for all. How hard are these to achieve? I am a programmer, but not familiar with the Windows environment, so please excuse me if it's a silly question. I would guess that the mouse issue is easy to solve. June 4, 201214 yr Author First off, i would faint, then I would look at the calendar to make sure it was not april fools day, then i would do a retake and make sure it was actuall yMS$ and if it was i would probably faint all over again, than I might do something I dont do, Hav a stff drink to calm my nerves. Hahaha tell me about it. But i guest they see addon payware developers making more money than they made selling fsx as it is . I mean i mean when fsx came out it sold . But developers like pmdg an captainsim , fs2crew etc..... Made fsx what it is today. If people still buy fsx i guest it because of how fsx is right now with all these new add on . I don't think people would buy fsx to just fly with the default aircraft. June 4, 201214 yr Author Well I for one would probably die of shock. As FSX keeps growing thanks to all the developers for these amazing add on. You never know what might happen in the future. FSX in my point of view have grown because of the payware we buy to improve FSX more . I have tones of friends that didn't know about fsx . An when they saw pmdg 737ngx trailer an all sort of stuff for different payware developers they were shock they thought pmdg 737ngx trailer was a single game Lol. I had to laught at first but who can blame them its amazing . An lots of people keep joining fsx for that reason watching youtube videos for different aircraft an different payware . If FSX continues this way like i said before you never know what might happen in the future about a SP3 . June 4, 201214 yr For me personally it will be interesting what simulator will replace FSX in the future. Sure there's Prepar3D, but maybe it is based too much on an old and outdated platform so that X-Plane might have an advantage... Andreas, LOWW - Nihil sumus et fuimus mortales. June 7, 201214 yr I sincerily believe MS should adress all the issues it created with SP-2 making it more 3th party friendly... Before jumping a gun onto a SP-3; Beside as many of you say they've moved on...
June 7, 201214 yr What would happen if FSX SP3 Comes Out ? If you installed it, you would see a blinding flash of light, and then wake up on a tropical island with polar bears, strange electromagnetic effects, and a nice, helpful chap called Ben.
