Check out FSBreak 118. The REX guys talk about REX Latitude.

It looks really interesting.

Indeed, I got to wonder if REX Latitude and Simair can work together somehow.

Trust me they will.

We started a feature list at: http://www.realenvironmentxtreme.com/forums/index.php?/topic/22002-feature-highlight-1-what-is-rex-latitude/

We will be exposing more about REX LATITUDE up to the release date.

REX SIMAIR will follow. Both will be expanding projects as time goes on.

That's great to hear, maybe then I can finally get proper virtual airline experience that adds proper economics management to daily flying operations.

Even more so in that you will be competing against other airlines for space at airports and for virtual passengers. Manage well!

Or if you are a cargo or bush pilot you will need try to get those passengers or companies to use your service over your competitor.

Latitude will allow you to compete vs your other fellow pilots in performance and much much more.

Okay that's amazing, just what I have always wanted. So far all this kind of addons that I have tried have completely lacked multiplayer competition and usually have had no economics modeling at all or only very poor one.

Any news on this front? By my reckoning the REX Simair project has the potential to absolutely revolutionize the flight sim experience by adding a new and deep dimension to the simulation, introducing strategy and giving meaning to your flights. I hope this thing has some traction and continues moving forward... I understand there was some copyright problems with EA but whats in a name anyways? Getting concerned that we aren't hearing anything about such an important product.

There was this email with news some time ago, it didn't have any major new info but the project seems to be still rolling, looking forward to its release.

The lawsuit was tossed out and SimAir development is proceeding. Other than that, nothing new with regards to updates.
