June 20, 201213 yr Nice vid, shows it can be easy to use. I bet RL CX pilots love their work. I really like my Citation X - probably the best money I ever spent on FSX. I am not near as quick as you are getting airborne though. Oh, and I like the alarm arming at the end... nice touch.
June 21, 201213 yr Author Thanks all. Dolph98: Start up was speed up 2X.. as you know.. it's allot of buttons to push to config for take off.
June 21, 201213 yr Nice vid. Lots of good shots in there. Al Alan Bradbury Check out my youtube flight sim videos: Here
June 21, 201213 yr This video clinches it. I'm getting this bird tomorrow :) Chris Magnus HR Manager Air Jamaica Virtual Airlines and Cargo (http://www.airjamaicavirtualairlinesandcargo.org)
June 21, 201213 yr Author SirStiggie: It's a great plane.. but beware.. It's also a "Manual Required" plane. It's a very complex plane, but once you learn how to use the systems (and they are DEEP, like the real thing), its a blast!

It's a very complex plane, but once you learn how to use the systems (and they are DEEP, like the real thing), its a blast! Coming from the stock FSX Lear where I push maybe 15 buttons and I'm off, this is a refreshing change. One quick question, the Eaglesoft website mentions needing FSUIPC for FADEC to work. Will the flying experience be negatively affected if I don't have FSUIPC/FADEC? Chris Magnus HR Manager Air Jamaica Virtual Airlines and Cargo (http://www.airjamaicavirtualairlinesandcargo.org)
June 21, 201213 yr Author I'm not sure, as I've always have had a registered FSUIPC... sorry. I should add that my version of Citation X seems to only work with FSUIPC version 4.60a. Newer versions peg the throttles at about 50%. There is probably a fix, but I'm happy with FSU4. I didn't show it in the vid, but I got over 600 knots ground speed on the way to PASI with some tail wind help. I believe it's still the fastest non military GA plane (FSX).
June 21, 201213 yr One quick question, the Eaglesoft website mentions needing FSUIPC for FADEC to work. Will the flying experience be negatively affected if I don't have FSUIPC/FADEC? The answer is no negative effect without FADEC but the experience is more realistic and enjoyable with FADEC. The newest FSUIPC has a fix related to axis reversal which has been implimented as we've oultined in our Forum. ThomasHH wrote:I have had the same problem and think I have found a solution. Pete changed the behavior of some Offset for the joystick axes in one of the recent releases you can find an explaination in the file FSUIPC Changes. To avoid this new behavior he introduced a new setting into the FSUIPC Ini file called AxesWrongRange=No. Change this to AxesWrongRange=Yes and the Fadec is working again. I did the test with FS2004 but I am nearly sure that it will work in FSX too. BRThomas
June 22, 201213 yr Author Thanks for that information Ron! Admittedly, I've been flying everything else, and have just returned to my Citation. Sometimes... you just got to GET there!
