Sim shots of what we would like in Flight

Featured Replies

I know this one is an ugly bird but it out performs the caravan . I think it is a little slower

Hooray, at last someone gives the ol' Pilotless Porter an honourable mention. :D

Flew many an hour in the Army Aviation Corps variants as an Electronics/Instrument Tech back in 1972-79

Good bird for PNG STOL's! Had a chance to take the controls from time to time when lucky enough to be sitting in the co-pilot's seat on long hauls. They're tough as nails and mucho fun. http://sdrv.ms/MTv9g6

While we're dreaming, I'd prefer a new copilot....

There's no place like this place, so this must be the place.

Some nice suggestions, but there already is a topic about what airplanes we liked to see in Flight...

http://forum.avsim.n...-flight-alaska/

I thought about merging the two but that would make a few posts hard to follow here and there, so I will leave this all here, but please continue to post your wishes in that other topic.

Oh, and btw, since this topic starts with 'To the Flight team': I just posted a new pinned topic about (amongst others) requests: you might want to read it. I hope that one removes a bit of the confusion there was when it came to posting about wishes but also bugs etc.

J, a picture is worth a thousand words. I thought I'd post pictures as many of our FS9/FSX setups rival Flight in visuals which not only from an aircraft standpoint Microsoft can see what we want but also the whole feel of the area is represented (Alaska). The pictures I posted are rather old but that's how my sim looks. The concept I was going for here wouldn't have worked in the other thread as I wanted more of a visual representation of our request as we have some great add-on aircraft out there. Microsoft could make it easy on themselves and outsource some of this aircraft building work as we have many requests. The Goose picture shows an easy one for them because like the whole foundation of Flight (judging by the default scenery in Flight) there's some carry over from FSX here and there, the FSX default Goose could be brought over and modified for Flight. I thought people would have got it and posted Orbix/Holger style pictures and/or real world pics with their top add-on aircraft and really visually built this thread up.

Hey, you asked for planes and you got (mostly) planes. I can't give you any ORBX scenery screenshots, sorry. :P

Your post and the second post under my original post was great (picture or in sim shots). Depending on what people have installed in there setup is fine to 'show' Microsoft what we want (or a real world pic). It just seemed the thread went in a direction I wasn't intending (SR71, vintage planes that barely get off the ground much less traverse the Alaskan landscape at a decent speed, etc). We all are asking for Bush type planes that fly faster than what's currently being offered and someone posts a plane that's slower than what we already have or a jet that's so fast that it's in Alaska all but 5 minutes before it's out of the scenery area, go figure... :fool:

I understand: it's an original idea of getting your point across to MS, so I am glad I didn't lock this one. So everyone, feel free to post screenshots from airplanes from other sims showing what you would like to see in Flight but save real world pictures and regular plane suggestions for that other topic, please! Nonsense posts will be removed without notice.

That does tend to happen around here. :)

But anyway, I would certainly be interested in seeing screenshots from other games that show what people hope to be able to see in Flight at some point.

Not my own shots, but...

J can we get ride of the SR71, Martin Tractor, and the Flying Fortress (whatever that is) posts as they detract from the thread?

Also can you allow me to change the title of the thread or you can do so to read 'In sim shots of what we would like in Flight' (or something to that effect).

Thanks.

I've got a better idea (after I edited the title  ). Start a new topic with a clear name and a VERY clear openingspost (and not just 'To the Flight team, I want a float plane like this in Flight...') Make clear what the topic is about and I'll make sure it will stay OT. I will lock this one.
