Screenshots of Alaskan Bush/STOL planes we'd like to see in Flight.

Featured Replies

Thought I'd start a thread to Microsoft of the Bush Planes we'd like to see in Flight's Alaska. I'll start it off with a few I'd like to see but feel free to pull pics from other sims with excellent Bush planes. Sometime a picture is worth a thousand words. So here's mine taken in Alaska...

Here are mine again...

Those four planes would more or less complete the "Alaska Experience" for me.

I had wanted a Super Cub on tundra tires, but the Carbon Cub will do, as soon as it has a cockpit to sit in.

So... the third separate thread on the same subject in the last two days; someone's jonesing for some backcountry flying!

Will the folks at Redmond respond?

Oh, I'm sure they can't... turnaround time is far to long. If they suddenly decided to make a Grumman Goose it would be released around this time next year. Maybe a few months less, depending on what older assets can be adapted. Every DLC plane for Alaska was probably completed months ago.

But we can maybe point them in the right direction for next year's planes.

They are not allowed (NDA), but they do read, I promise you.

There are two topics about new planes: one about whatever plane you want to see and one (this one) about extisting addons for other sims that you would also like to see in Flight. The third one was a version of this one that went wrong a little and which has been locked. Let's try to keep this one OT, so only post and talk about addons for other sims that you would like to see in Flight.

BTW Not everyone knows everything about planes (including me  ) so I wouldn't mind if the names of the planes are added to the pictures!

Yes, it would be nice of us to include names of what we post. I can't recognise every plane in the world myself. :)

Mine consisted of a de Havilland Canada DHC-2 Beaver, a Cessna 208 Caravan, a Grumman G-21 Goose and a Beechcraft Baron 58.

My shots above are a Cessna 185 and PC12.

Guess I'll add to this since I was just flying it. And I'm quite biased because it's the only Bush/STOL plane I own but I honestly haven't had a desire to buy anything else either since buying this package as it's just that great of a plane (with all it's variations) to fly.

Love my ACA Scout!

I should have put 'Bush and/or STOL' in the title but I didn't want to get too long with it. It's either one or the other or both like the PC12. For me something fast to travel in a decent time frame around Alaska. Something that can get in and out of smaller airfields. A nice 4 to 6 seater cargo hauler or an Otter, PC12, or Kodiak for dual passenger/cargo operations.

As a two engine kite the DHC 5 Buffalo could be an interesting acquaintance in Flight ^_^

As well as the Bronco, but in a fire spotter livery though
