July 10, 201213 yr Hey theres 8 new videos of the Q400 on the Majestic Software forums. Theyre to demonstrate the sound but theres lots of other stuff to see (VC) looks really good lee http://198.164.146.97/fanda/Forum/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=2546&sid=59a9f857cac44e12886c265c2d5fd62f&start=150 5th post down
July 10, 201213 yr That looks awesome!! I can't wait for this plane and it looks nearly done with the sound and vc ready to go! I've been waiting for this plane since I learned it was in production! R. Dawson
July 10, 201213 yr Thanks for the link. Looks like they might be gittin close to release. As I recall it's going to be very expensive but the price you pay for total realism. Best regards, Jim
July 10, 201213 yr Author Yeah there 300 was $60-70 or something if I recall. But it will be worth it Lee Sent using Tapatalk It does look like its getting close though, by the looks that they must be in beta Sent using Tapatalk
July 10, 201213 yr Yeah there 300 was $60-70 or something if I recall. But it will be worth it 30€, 70€ or 150€ The question is, will they have a pilot version of the Q400 at launch, or will that come later. Part of me thinks they'd be crazy to ignore the 30€ market just to claw back a few more sales of a 70€ or 150€ price range. But otoh, they'll have an idea of just how much, if at all, the pilot edition of the Q300 has cannibalised the pro and training editions.
July 10, 201213 yr Author Yes good point, I forgot about the three different versions. I should think that the "pro" version which was $70 for the Q300 would be enough for any hardcore simmer and the Airline edition would just be extra for us. I think it's smart for them to have the different versions, but the price difference might turn off price conscious shoppers from the pro to the pilot. I'm planning on the Pro. July 10, 201213 yr Looks very nice. I definitely want this. One observation, though: I realize this is still a work in progress, and things may still be under development. The buttons on the FMS units looked a little flat to me in some of the videos, though. I can't tell if they really are flat (i.e. a 2D texture mapped over a box) or if it was just simply an artifact of the lighting and camera angles in some of the shots. It won't decrease my enjoyment of this plane too much if these are just 2D textures, but a full 3D rendering of the buttons on the FMS would be way more awesome. Keep up the outstanding work!
July 11, 201213 yr Not to impressed with the graphics, They have been working so long on this, It's outdated already. PMDG should start a university to train designers how to get a product out to the consumers while we are still young. The development cycles are just too long,If it wasn't for PMDG,I would have left the hobby long ago. July 11, 201213 yr Author I actually think the outside looks very nice. The outside is being done by Samdim and they're very good. The vc doesnt look to bad to me. Lee Sent using Tapatalk
July 11, 201213 yr Can't judge until its released. Things change, even liveries can change the look greatly. I need to watch on a bigger screen but looks ok so far and will be the best dash 8 available...
July 11, 201213 yr Wow, It looks really nice!!! Fernando B ( I know I misspelled Boeing, I did it on purpose to make it Unique )

PMDG probably has one of the largest development teams out of the companies that produce complex and realistic airliner simulations, so I wouldn't expect developers like Majestic to produce products at the same rate. Every video I've seen seems to be running on just an average system with graphics sliders turned down. It looks great to me
July 11, 201213 yr Author Yeah they say some videos are just on a laptop it will probably look better with a better pc. VC looks fine IMO Cheers Lee Sent using Tapatalk
