Hello,

I have bought PMDG MD11 and 747-400 but i have one problem.

After exiting to windows several times when i return to my FSX my screen is black and i need to restart my fsx.

This happens only with PMDG planes.

 

I have

 

Inter I7 2600k

Nvidia GTX560

8GB ram

1T HDD

and 64GB SSD

 

What is the solution ??

 

Please help me.

It isn't a problem with PMDG's aircraft, it's a problem with FSX and complex addons in general. Do you use ENB Series?

I think the problem is due to the fact when you minimise FSX from full-screen it stops building terrain, so when you reload it FSX has to reload the correct terrain/textures as well as parts of the aircraft. Running in windowed mode means FSX will be fully running even with windows on top (and it minimised).

Not as far as I know, someone else might though.

press alt tab to get back again think that the combination its in another thread or it could be alt enter one of these two

This works also.. takes a few more button pushes than just ALT+TAB but for me it doesn't freeze up/turn black the FSX..

 

When you want to go from full screen mode to windows desktop:

1: Press ALT+ENTER to go to windowed mode

2: Minimize the FSX window

3: Do what you need to do in Windows

4: Return to your FSX window

5: Press ALT+ENTER and return to full screen mode

But what i do is: I don't go to window mode, i just switch to desktop. And then when i come back it becomes black.

I did the same (sometimes by accident) and it came back black. It isn't only PMDG planes. If you do as harvester21 above says, it will work fine (I also have done this steps for the past year without incident).

Yes but when you are flying let me say Wilco Airbus and you switch to windows by ALT ENTER plane become crazy and fly left and right from the route.

This is the PMDG forum, so we don't care what Wilco does.. ^_^

I too run in full screen mode, and if I need to jump out to the desktop, the way I switch back in is:

 

CTRL-ALT-DEL

Open task manager

Select FSX

Click 'Switch To'

 

Hopefully that addresses the issue?
