Traffic Levels in UT2

Featured Replies

Hi,

Flight 1's Ultimate Traffic 2 is on sale for the week over on their website. To the people who use this program, how much traffic is there? I'm currently running Just Flight's Traffic X with around 15-30% Airliner and GA traffic, and at a major airport the traffic drops to around 5 aircraft at most times. If I got UT2, would there be more traffic on these settings?

Thanks in advance,

Thanks,

Kevin L

The answer to your question is YES and NO. The reason is that UT2 uses a snapshot of a real world airline schedule for traffic. Airports that in real life that would have 100+ aircraft on the ground (KATL) will show that amount and where a airport in real life that would only have 5 or so aircraft on the ground that would also be reflected in what UT2 shows for traffic. Traffic X is BGL based where UT2 is based on a real schedule. A very important thing to make sure of when using UT2 is to make sure the AFCAD being used for your airport you are at has all the parking spots available to reflect the UT2 schedule. Luckily AFCADs are available here, so getting updated files are a snap. UT2 also has a bunch of other nice features that allow you to tune it to meet your needs. You can clear approach traffic in front of you with a keystroke if AI are in your way when landing as well as resetting or turning off the traffic should the need come up which is usefull when refreshing traffic after loading weather from ASE. I run mine at 80% commercial and I have GA traffic OFF.

I don't see any sale on their site. Where did you see the sale?

If it helps, I used to use JFs Traffic X, and have switched to UT2, its a far better product imho
